Leilani Series Final
DUCHESS ZOU looks extremely well placed to bounce back into the winners’ circle here in the Leilani Series finale. She led them from the start last time and was run over by Stylish who had the cold sit on her over the final stages. Jabez Johnstone, who won on her the previous two runs, is back on board and Stylish has an awkward draw. That should enable her to turn the tables on him this time.
Silver Bowl Series Final
Can come home with a winner here in the last with CLEVOR TREVER. He has put together a picket fence of wins and no reason he can’t add another one to make it five wins on the trot. Although he goes up 2kg in weight from his last start win at Sandown, he looks suited stepping up to the mile. He only needs to find some cover from the sticky draw, to be the one to beat again.
Glasshouse Handicap
KING ZEPHYR had plenty of excuses last start; he got back to near last from his wide draw and rocketed home, beaten just under 3 lengths. Again he is drawn wide but on the spacious Sunshine Coast course, he should be able to get cover and sit midfield. With some luck in running, he can run over them at a nice each-way quote.
Power Boats Plate
Looking to have something each-way on NETTUNO, who is first-up since finishing midfield behind Hidden Wealth in the Swiss Ace last outing back in November. He has a solid fresh record and enjoys plenty of juice in the ground. He also gets the in-form Ben Thompson on board so he ticks a few boxes in this race.
Belmont Oaks
The fillies take pride of placie in the Belmont Oaks and going to have something on LIKE CLOCKWORK. She has had no luck in her past couple of runs, getting well back in the running and having trouble navigating a path until the final stages. With the increased distance today, she looks to be perfectly suited to sitting just behind the speed, stalking them into the straight and running over them late.
