CAULFIELD Race 7 (1700m) 3:30 pm

This looks like the race for MADIYYA to finally break back into the winner’s stall. She has run home well in all her three runs this time in, finishing fourth, third, and second respectively when she has looked the winner but just failed to get the prize. The extra trip will only benefit her further and with Jamie Mott riding in super form happy to have something each-way on her.

Open Handicap

CAULFIELD Race 8 (1400m) 4:05 pm

BIG SWINGER looks well placed to bring up his sixth win of his short career. Last start he got too far back in the field and wound up late to only be beaten just under 3 lengths. He has a much better draw today, which should see him settle much closer in the run. He possesses an exceptional turn of hoof when asked for the supreme effort, that should see him prove the one to beat.

Tattersall's Mile

EAGLE FARM Race 7 (1600m) 3:23 pm

SUN GOD looked to have the cash spent last time out when he stormed through the pack, but he was outstayed at the line and went down narrowly to War Eternal over 1500m. Today, he meets that same horse again, but this time around he strips even fitter being third-up, has a 2kg weight swing and the additional 100m will only benefit him even further. Nash Rawiller from inside gate will offer him the perfect run and third-up he can win.

Tatt's Tiara

EAGLE FARM Race 8 (1400m) 3:58 pm

SPLASH BACK looks well suited back in this 1400m fillies & mares Group 1 Tatts Tiara. Last start, she finished just over 3 lengths behind Spicy Martini in the Stradbroke and previously 2.5 lengths behind Headley Grange. Back to her own sex and at set weights she looks ideally suited and Jordan Childs should get the right run from her barrier. She usually gets back but all indications are that she has thrived recently and should prove hard to hold out.

BM72+ Handicap

BELMONT Race 3 (1200m) 1:53 pm

Forget that YORGA PRIDE went around last start when she finished 7th behind Charino this track three weeks ago. She had a cosy run back midfield on the fence and when she went for the run in the straight, the door closed and she almost fell. She maps to get the same type of run again, and don’t expect William Pike to find the same trouble they found last start.
