BM74 Handicap
The run of SKIPPERS CANYON last time out at Caulfield was full of merit after getting well out of his ground first-up, but did find the line nicely late. He has only missed a place once second-up and stepping up to 1800m on the open spaces of Flemington, he ticks a few boxes and this looks a nice each way play in this field.
St Leger
SILVASISTA has found form this time in and she knuckled down nicely to win a Benchmark 62 at Donald over 2200m last time out, after a solid second at Caulfield behind Salty Pearl and then finishing down the track when well supported in Listed company at Morphettville. The 2800m of the St. Leger looks suitable for this three-year-old filly and expect her to be the one to beat.
BM85 Handicap
MOULIN MISS looked impressive winning here last start with her head on her chest after getting a perfect run throughout, winning by 3 lengths. Angela Jones takes over the reins today and expect a similar map again. She appears to be improving with each run and should win based on her last start effort.
Brisbane Handicap
COTE ATLANTIQUE looked home for the chocolates last time at Doomben when he went down to Miss Joelene after being at the tail of the field on straightening for home. He stormed home down the outside but Miss Joelene came through inside of him to grab the cash. He is third-up now and will strip much fitter for those runs. Drawn even better today he should be able to turn the tables.
Rating 66+ Trophy
BLACK ORA is a very consistent mare who is third-up today, after not really getting into the race last start over 1200m. Gets a claim from the in form Holly Nottle and she should get every opportunity from the nice barrier draw. She should prove very hard to hold off at the business end of the race.
