BM84 Handicap
Thought that SWEETHEARTED could prove hard to beat down the straight after a good win last time out at Geelong, where he toughed it out well and proved too strong for them at the line. He has raced well down the straight previously and from the draw should get a good trip in behind the speed and be able to get over the top of his opponents late.
BM100 Handicap
Sticking with SAINT GEORGE to win again after his last start 2.5 lengths win at Cranbourne. He only goes up 1kg for that win and meets a very similar field to what he beat there. Berkeley Square is the addition but he will want a wet track and this big grey gelding should be able to get the job done for us.
Gold Coast Magic Millions Guineas
Looking for some value here in the 3YO Magic Millions Guineas and going with MEMO for James McDonald and Peter Snowden at a double figure quote. She had no luck at all at Wyong last time out when he was chopped out at the corner and took plenty of time to wind up again, to find the line okay. Should be suited with the rise in trip and can give you a sight at the price.
Magic Millions 2yo Classic
WARWOVEN does look as though he is the one to beat in this year’s 2YO Magic Millions. He showed a tremendous turn-of-hoof when asked to go last time out at Eagle Farm and if he can reproduce that type of effort, he will certainly take some holding off last 200m for the combination of Bjorn Baker and Rachel King.
OUR PALADIN AL worked home nicely last start over the mile and looks well suited with the rise in journey for this event. He has always shown plenty of talent and only been lightly raced. Has a soft draw to get a tag along in behind the speed and with the claim for the in-form Holly Nottle, he should prove hard to hold off at the business end of this race.
