WONDER BOY looked to have the Golden Mile at Bendigo won last time but Von Hauke burst through the pack late and got the money over him at the wire. He is drawn perfectly to get a nice cart throughout and if he can work home like he did last start, he looks like the one they will have to beat.

STOLI BOLI put them away with ease when winning at Bendigo last start. He drops 4.5kgs for that win so he looks very well placed back at a track where he has had plenty of success. Watch for him to wind up from the clock tower and run over them at the business end.

TAVI TIME has been good in past couple of runs, and he got well back in the field and ran on solidly on both occasions. So at juicy odds I’ll have a throw at the stumps and have an each way play on him today. He has won five races over the trip and also gets Ben Melham taking over the reins. He’ll get back again but hopefully the speed will be on and he can run them down.

JIMMYSSTAR comes into the Doomben 10000 following a 5th and a 3rd in Group 1 races during the Sydney Autumn carnival. Although he didn’t get the wins in those races, he was only beaten by small margins and this looks a perfect race for him to return to the winners’ list.

Just forget OUR PALADIN AL went around last start when he went back early and never got into a winning position before running on late to finish just four lengths from the winner. He is drawn much better here and will strip even fitter for that effort. He has a superb second-up record, so expect him to right in this.
