Black Caviar Lightning

Flemington Race 8 (1000m) 4:10 pm

Fantastic race the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes this year with a field of up and comers taking on hardened sprinters. TENTYRIS was so brilliant winning the Coolmore down the Flemington straight last spring, he looks to be the three-year-old that will be stepping up this season to bigger and better things. Should sit back off a solid speed and he looks the one to beat.

C.S.Hayes Stakes

Flemington Race 9 (1400m) 4:50 pm

SIXTIES was ultra-impressive first-up winning at Rosehill coming from back in the field and running away from his opposition over the concluding stages. He will be even fitter for that effort and this looks a lovely stepping stone into a solid Autumn for this talented Flying Artie colt.

Open Handicap

Eagle Farm Race 7 (1400m) 3:02 pm

JOHN RAMBO is a very consistent six-year-old gelding who just seems to find one better each time he goes around. He has drawn really in this and there appears to be plenty of pace in the race, he should be able to camp just behind them, find some clear air in the lane and run on by leaders to get back into the winners stall.

BM85 Handicap

Eagle Farm Race 10 (1200m) 5:07 pm

PRESS LINK couldn’t have been more impressive winning first-up here after 14 months off the track, after his Hong Kong stint. He got well back and found the line strongly over the last 200m to get there by a nose. He should be much fitter for that effort and should take plenty of holding off again.

F&M CLASSIC

PINJARRA Race 6 (1200m) 3:38 pm

Giving SUPERNATURAL one more chance to redeem herself after being extremely disappointing last time out when she got back in the field and failed to run on. William Pike takes over the reins and for that reason and that looks a bonus, as he has had success on her previously.
