BM100 Handicap
MOTORSPORTS may only have a 7 next to her name in the form-guides after that first-up run but she held ground well and she did find the line late behind the very smart Point Barrow here at Caulfield. She should be much fitter for that run and she has won second-up previously. Caulfield Cup winning rider Harry Coffey takes the ride and she can get away with this.
Galilee Series Final
SINGLE CHOICE was enormous last time here at Caulfield in the Group 2 Alister Clark Stakes, when he traveled wide the trip and kept on coming on fighting on all the way to the line to be just out of placings. The 2400m looks perfect for him at this stage and the Matt Cumani trained gelding gets chance to return to winners stall.
3YO Fillies Handicap
ICARIAN DREAM has performed well in many top races over the journey: 2.5 lengths off Sheza Alibi, 2 lengths off Grafterburners and his last start 6th of 8 at Warwick Farm, was only 1.7 lengths off the winner. He looks well-placed here, has the right draw, and features Ryan Maloney aboard today, giving him every opportunity to return to the winner’s stall.
BM78 Handicap
SAVAGERY VIBE looked extremely unlucky to go down narrowly last time out here behind Cindersea after she gave the leader a big start, wound up late out deep on the track, and just missed. From the soft draw, she should get a good run behind the leading group and will take some holding off at the wire.
WATC Derby
WONDERFULLY MADE was ridden to perfection by Lucy Fiore last time out winning the WA Oaks, and she retains the ride here after she got too far back in the run in The Natasha. This three-year-old filly always looked like the winner of The Oaks and handled the 2400m trip with no trouble. Even though she faces the boys now, there is no reason she won’t add the Derby to her resume.
