Best Bets – Sat 25th November

Ascot Race 8 (1600m) 9:09 pm

TUVALU looks the one they will have to beat here after drawing favorably in barrier 4. He has raced against the likes of Mr Brightside, Alligator Blood over the spring and has had this race earmarked for a long time. Should be given every chance from that draw by Jamie Kah who seems to be back to her brilliant best over recent weeks and can add another Group 1 victory to her resume’.

Ascot Race 7 (1600m) 8:34 pm

KESHI BOOM ran all over Super Smink last time they met in the Burgess Queen and going by her victory last weekend, again over the mile, it showed how much she enjoyed the rise in trip. Although now meeting the boys, that just means a better price. She is unbeaten in four starts and no reason cannot win again.

Cranbourne Race 8 (1000m) 4:20 pm

Going with GENERATION to return to the winners stall. Drawn ideally in inside barrier, he should track the speed throughout and with Craig Williams on board should get all the favours turning for home and with luck last 200m can finish all over them.

Cranbourne Race 9 (1600m) 5:00 pm

FOXY CLEOPATRA ran a ripper first-up over the Flemington carnival to go down narrowly to the NZ raider in Skew Wiff. She is looking for this trip second-up and the trainer seemed quite confident in interviews during the week. Although lightly raced after her injury suffered in the Oaks last year, she still should prove very hard to stop.

BM78 Handicap

Doomben Race 5 (1350m) 3:32 pm

MIDNIGHT IN TOKYO looked extremely impressive winning a fortnight ago here running them down over 1200m and the step up to 1350m suits nicely. He has won twice on heavy tracks and he should prove to be the one they will all have to beat.
