Best Bets – Wed 25th October

I’m having a bet here, a real good go. I like ARMED FORCES from the Chris Waller yard. Everything that I find crucial in a bet is found in him. Best horse. Third up. Coming off a terrific last start. Down in grade. If they serve up $3.80 I’m raiding not just the piggy bank. STAND ASIDE will lead and hang tough for a nice quinella return also.

This pretty much is a carbon copy of the race a fortnight ago which CASUAL CONNECTION just won. There was a length between the top five, all of them returning here and I’m on the one who ran 5th that day, CHATEAUX PARK. He was beaten a length and meets them all about 2kg better. Loves this track too. Will fly home from the back.

This is a drop in grade for topweight SWEET BABY BOOM. And she’s on her home soil. Last start she ran super swift time when 2nd in a BM 78. A time that would blow these off the park. Does goes up 4kg but I suspect she leads on her own and runs away from them all.

Tough ask for UNSTOPABULL to win last start when straight up from a Kembla maiden win he gives 3kg to a boom horse in Facile. Did run her to within 3 lengths and she has since placed at stakes level. This is a good few lengths easier and he should be tougher and fitter so can win from GUSTOSISIMO who has been backed well overnight. Good each way wager.

Former Sydney mare JOVITA looks the one here. Perfectly served at the gates I see her jumping and settling with the one, one sit then out-grinding them late. She is 3rd up here after two solid placings at this level.
