A Day At The Track – Sandown 27 September

1. You just have to admire a young horse who has strung together 3 from 3. GOLD MEDALLIST, aptly named as it seems is that horse. Gets in here really well with 3kg weight allowance.

2. COCO JEN has similar formlines and resumes here. Drawn to be in a good spot and is bound to run. Money for her already.

3. CAVITY BAY is also resuming but did run well in better class races lkast prep. Also is helped by a 2kg allowance today.

Tips: 2 – 8 – 1

1. Tough race but I just lobe in form topweights so I’m on AL DUCA here despite the big weight. Is gunning for 3 in a row this grade and should go close.

2. FARHH FLUNG is a tough old bloke who just runs boldly at this level every start. Drawn to sit in 4th on the fence getting great cover all the way. Hard to hold out.

3. AUTUMN SLIDE looked solid winning an easier race last start and is very fit. Has been heavily backed overnight.

Tips: 1 – 5 – 12

1. I know Team Hayes has another runner that rates highly but this filly SHINING SMILE is tough and is coming back a little in grade. Led and 4th last start and has the perfect draw plus a claim. Big danger.

2. The stablemate is ALEPPO PINE who was a handy 4th in a similar race when resuming last start. Fitter now and there is money around for him.

3. ODESSA is gunning for 3 on the bounce here. Previous two have been in weaker grade but seems to be getting better with racing.

Tips: 1 – 4 – 6

1. Another one in great form here in JUSTADEEL. Had 3 starts for 2 wins, latest win was last start and is 3rd up here. Drawn to get the run of the race.

2. RAIKOKE did right for us last start winning an easier race. Blake Shinn sticks which suggests big showing again.

3. KING ZEPHYR is attracting a lot of interest. Is 2nd up here after a good 3rd at the Valley in strong company. Is fitter now.

1. I absolutely adored the way NAVY PILOT hit the line when resuming last start. May well have improved enough to be a solid stakes horse and if so, should flash down the outside and beat these. Looks pretty handy.

2. FERMOY is 3rd up and did place in a similar race last start. Fitter now, drawn well enough and looms large.

3. REGAL AWARD is lightly raced but appears talented. Scored a solid win in slightly weaker grade last start but is improving every run so looks up to this.

Tips: 1 – 2 – 7

1. OLE DANCER is having 4th start having won first 2. Will love this trip as she is 3rd up and races like it will suit. They have jumped out of the trees to back her.

2. MISS CELINE is 3rd up and has always shown talent at this level. Runs on and looks well placed from this gate.

3. CUSTOM has the rails draw and form on the board. placed this grade last start and all looks in readiness for a bold showing.

1. Queensland star TRANSATLANTIC came with a charge and went tooth and nail down the Flemington straight in this grade to fail by a nose. Is fitter now and will finish hard again.

2. RISE AT DAWN is fast early. So will dash to take up the running and if left alone is a tough nut to run over. Fitter now after placing this level last start.

3. EVAPORATE is also 2nd up and can improve now fitter on luckless 5th this grade last start. Big show.

Tips: 3 – 2 -1

1. GLOBE took off this grade last start establishing a solid lead into the final stretch and wilted late running a game, fitness-earning 4th. Is 3rd up now and this looks ideal.

2. Chris Waller brings WOOTTON VERNI into this 3rd up. Was 5th in fast time on a track where the backmarkers couldn’t make ground last start. Will like this long straight.

3.  CADMUS has done nothing in 2 starts this time up but a bit of money is around for him. Place.
