A Day At The Track – Eagle Farm Sat 26th April

1. The Sydney visitor TUNED is primed for this race. Likes to get up on speed and did that last start in an midweeker at Warwick farm before winning. Is super fit and this looks ideal.

2. This bloke TUFF TU MISS was on a tear racing through the grades when last in work winning 3 in a row before spelling. Does like it longer but has trialled well and may be a pretty smart horse moving forward.

3. The 2kg allowance should help the top weight ACTION KING. He too resumes but his form in this company was very handy prior to spelling. Can lead or sit back but from this good gate I suspect he goes forward while fresh.

Tips: 7 – 6 – 1

1. They have jumped out of the trees to back last start winner DILLIAN in this. He’s drawn perfectly and the confidence level is so high among pro punters that nothing else has been backed. Won by a space in weaker grade in the mud last start.

2. ROLLER COASTER is at his absolute limit in this grade but is also very fit. Can improve on poor effort last start as his regular rider who has had success on him, Michael Rodd, is back on top for this.

3. The toppie GALIFIANAKIS is in great form and very fit. He rose to this level for the first time last start over 2200m and stormed home from last to grab 3rd, suggesting the extra 200m will suit him.

Tips: 6 – 4 – 2

1. It has been quite a while since CENTRESTONE won a race but she has been very consistent and placed in this grade 3 of past 4 starts. Is very fit now and drawn to receive the run of the race. Big show at good odds.

2. BEAUX RUMBLE is a similar horse to Centrestone. has been a placegetter at 12 starts and won on top of that 5 races. Last start was on speed in a fast run affair and was 3rd in better grade at Doomben. Must be considered.

3. The run by NAVAL TRADER should be overlooked. It was in a tougher grade and he was there until they turned this trip. Was beaten 3 lengths and was 2nd up. Fitter now and looms large.

Tips: 14 – 3 – 5

1. Lots of money toward the end of the week for NAVYONTHEHIGHWAY who resumes from a spell here. Drawn perfectly, form before spell was strong, and gets a 2kg weight relief. Lots to like here.

2. Tony Gollan has a pair of runners and BLACK ON BEAUTY who has drawn the fence mnay be the best of them. Resumes here but has won first-up in the past.

3. Another oen resuming, THE INFLICTOR with Ceejay Graham riding raced well last prep and has been backed each way so a big run while fresh is expected.

Tips: 3 – 6 – 4

1. Had to like the way HI BARBIE ran her races when in full flight last prep. Did catch the eye when flying home for 6th in the Magic Millions. If she brings that form, she wins.

2. DRAGONNE ROUGE has had 2 starts and won them both. Jumps, settles, then accelerates hard when asked. Should be flying home.

3. Sydney filly HEADBANGER is with Gai and Adrian so you know she will go hard and be strong late. A couple of others are speedsters too so she probably knocks them out of play.

Tips: 1 – 3 – 5

1. We might be looking at the start of a great Gr 1 career here for this filly SPICY MARTINI. She resumes from a spell but I suspect she goes bang over the final 200m and wins this.

2. COSMIC FIRE resumes also and draw is a little awkward but when last in work proved to be a force in this grade. If he’s back, he goes close.

3. Quite the opposite from the top 2 picks, this filly HEARTS ARE BETTER has been up a while and is super fit. Is racing in great form too and drawn perfectly. Big show.

Tips: 8 – 1 – 9

1. The Godolphin filly PINITO has shown stakes grade talent and has placed 3 times since resuming. Drawn well here, is 4th up and has been heavily backed once acceptances came through. Have in your numbers.

2. HARLEM QUEEN is ready. She is gifted and has placed past 2 starts in similar races. Super fit now and has drawn perfectly. Big show.

3. MISS BUSSLINGER will be big odds and is well worth a place ticket. She is tough and she’s fit. Will get back and run home hard.

Tips: 10 – 1 – 3

1. I really think PORT LOCKROY will appreciate this race. He’s a Gr 1 winner and although beaten comfortably in 2 starts this time up, he is fit now, loves this trip and drops in class. If he finds cover he can finish too hard for these.

2. JUST FOLK is interesting. He’s in form and loves Brisbane racing. Likes to bowl along and if allowed to he is impossible to run down at this level. Must be in your numbers.

3. AL MUBHIR who is now with Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald looks well in here. He accepted for Sydney too, where he looks a good thing. Runs boldly if he starts in this.

Tips: 2 – 1 – 3

1. Looks like top trainer Tony Gollan can quinella this. He saddles last start winner WARBY who ran fast time to land the cash here over 1400m last start. He’s third up now, has light weight and runs boldly.

2. He looks to win from his stablemate MILLANE who is honest but burdened with a big weight in this. Awkward draw too but is tough.

3. Good, late each way money has come in for POETIC DRAMA in this. Form was very consistent when last in work and should get a great cart into the race from this alley.
