A Day At The Track – Eagle Farm June 14

1. EMIRATE was beaten out of a place last start when resuming but the word on the street surrounding his talent continues to suggest he is pretty smart. Is fitter now so I’m on him.

2. PISCES under any other circumstance would be the on top tip. He’s fit, in form and ready to win so quinella him with Emirate.

3. JUST FEELIN’ LUCKY is up in class but her form is great and just keeps improving. She must e considered.

Tips: 3 – 1 – 9

1. Hard to go past the Kiwi PIER in this. He has wheels and can really hit the line like he did on Aussie debut last start when 2nd up and 3rd to War Machine carrying more weight than the winner. Is super fit now, has won at this trip and seems to be thriving in Qld.

2. DEMON DARB is racing brilliantly in weaker races so deserves his go at this level. Should be competitive.

3. TENSING is in great form and is very honest. Should run into a placing.

Tips: 4 – 11 – 6

1. Chris Waller has ETNA ROSSO primed and ready. This is not a strong field and he is in form. Hits the line hard and looks the pea in this.

2. TRUE MARVEL tends to stay this trip right out and that makes him a player this year at big odds. Have him in your numbers.

3. Presumably CAMPALDINO leads from gate rise. Has won past 3 and is confident, tough and fast early. Should take catching.

Tips: 3 – 6 – 4

1. The rise of this flyer ISTI STAR has been impressive. Gets out, goes hard and runs rivals ragged. Has done that at past 2 starts winning comfortably and looks to do it all over again here.

2. BRAVE DESIGN is up from Melbourne and has a ton of talent. Also goes hard early so probably off this draw gets into the slip steam of Isti Star. Will be in this finish.

3. QUIETLY ARROGANT has great first up form and resumes here with a great gate and Jay mac to ride. Should be prominent all the way.

Tips: 10 – 3 – 1

1. PRINCE OF BOOM hasn’t won for a while but looks a great shot here because he will drive toward the lead early. And, he does his best when fresh. Resumes here at big odds so is worth a punt.

2. NEEDS SOME LUCK is just discovering how good he is. Beautifully bred galloper who hits the line hard and this track will suit. Is 3rd up and peaking.

3. MILLANE was snagged back and given no chance in the mud last start. Is capable of running on hard.

Tips: 2 – 7 – 10

1. COOL ARCHIE has taken on everyone this winter and won all 4 races, getting more impressive each time. Up in trip here but he’s beaten these all before and should do so again.

2. CALL DA VINCI is getting better with racing and gives the impression this trip will suit. Ran home hard to place behind Cool Archie last run. Have in your numbers.

3. NAVY PILOT brings different form lines into this but the way he accelerates late means he’s a serious house. Sure to run boldly.

4. GRAFTERBURNERS is 3rd up and ready to fire. Caught the eye behind Cool Archie last start and this trip suits more. Is fitter too.

Tips: 1 – 4 – 10 – 2

1. FIRESTORM has a paralyzing burst and producers it best when fresh. Has been heavily tried overnight and will love thios big track. Looms large.

2. Local star FLOOZIE is just in a winning frame of mind. Has strung together 3 on the bounce and is well up to this grade.

3. ABOUNDING is ready to fire. This is probably a length easier than her last start when making ground impressively for 6th. Is 3rd up now and likes this big track.

Tips: 4 – 11- 8

1. By far the best most recent lead up run by any runner in this field was GOLDEN MILE last start in the Gr 1 over 1300m last week. Up on speed in the mud all the way and beaten a nostril. Very fit now and drawn perfectly.

2. The bush horse FAR TOO EASY is 3rd up and can run very fast time. Settles mid field here and with no weight should rattle home gamely.

3. WAR MACHINE won lead up race impressively. Up in class here but is improving every run and that makes him hard to beat.

4. PRIVATE EYE might not be who he used to be but he is always strong fresh and resumes here. Can run into a place.

Tips: 6 – 12 – 7 – 1

1. It’s been a long time, about 2 years ago this onth, since KOVALICA won but he looks ready again. Likes it a bit damp, Should settle about 6th, handy enough and should rattle home. This is pet trip.

2. FAWKNER PARK is very reliable and talented at this level. Is in super form and will prove mighty hard to beat.

3. BOIS D’ARGENT is also a dab hand in Qld this time of year. Will probably lead and if he controls the speed will take some catching.
