A Day at the Track – Eagle Farm 28 June

1. It will be interesting to see how MISHANI LILY goes here. She is 3rd up and showed a great deal of fight last start to lead and hang on for 2nd this grade with 60kg. Should strip fitter here and has won at this track and trip. The set weights makes her very appealing.

2. BREAK FREE rises in class here but does know how to win winning 3 from 4 thus far. Should be on pace for a long way.

3. The maiden filly AMUSEANTES is bred to be handy and this is her 3rd race start. Ran on well for 3rd over 1000m in maiden grade last start but experience and extra 200m will help.

Tips: 1 – 2 – 6

1. Toss up here. I’m on FLAG HALL if Millane doesn’t run. Millane if they choose this race but I dare say he’s off for a tougher race later in the day. Flag Hall is honest, well boxed and very fit.

2. JOHN RAMBO is very popular and for good reason. He is tough like his namesake. Strong claims too.

3. TERMAGANT looks to get a great run and all the breaks from this alley. is 2nd up and last prep was most impressive progressing through the grades.

Tips: 2 – 6 – 10

1. What a lottery. Comparing form here is very hard so bet with caution. I like winning form so I’m on INVAHIR. He’s carried big weights to score at past 3 in the Roma region.

2. UNDER THE LIMIT has won his past 3 around the Bowen area and in handy time.

3. KALASHNIKOV ran 5 x 2nds on the bounce before coming here and some in very fast time.

Tips: 6 – 11 – 4

1. Nearly everyone outside of Queensland underestimates the strength of juvenile racing in Qld. Not I. Cool Archie was great to me and I suspect BRAVE DESIGN will be here too. He is 4th up here coming off a powerful lo0cal win. Respect him.

2. Hard to really get excited about a Chris Waller horse who won at $51 last start but there is data to suggest AUTUMN BOY has a lot of talent., And he gets Jay Mac here. Have in your numbers.

3. PILLOW FIGHT won in Sydney midweek maiden grade on debut. Not here for the scenery and has the perfect draw.

Tips: 1 – 5 – 15

1. Once SIR LUCAN finds form, as he did with a solid win in the Winter Cup a fortnight ago in Sydney, he is a tough nut to crack. And this isn’t overly tough. Will be on pace all the way.

2. BANKERS CHOICE was on pace for a long way here last start over 2400m before wilting and beaten 7 lengths. This is about 6 lengths easier so should be right in the fray.

3. MR WATERVILLE doesn’t win many but he’s in form and ran a really good race when 4th in the 3200m Brisbane Cup last start. Place claims.

Tips 1 – 3 – 9

1. We all scratched our heads last start when PULCHRITUDINOUS got back to 13th from the get go and only plodded home, beaten 4 lengths this grade last start. Can produce a much better run than that and is worth another chance. No doubt will be ridden closer.

2. MARE OF MT BULLER is very reliable and is also rather fit. Well up to this grade and should be right in this finish.

3. MISS JOELENE is a local with a finishing kick and she is now fit enough to make her presence felt late. Drawn perfectly.

Tips: 1 – 3 – 6

1. This represents a huge drop in grade for THE INFLICTOR who was beaten into 11th spot. They ran very fast time and he was making ground late. Looks the one to beat.

2. RISING PACIFIC is in form winning 3 of past 4 starts. Is up to this and drawn perfectly.

3. It’s been a while since DEMOCRACY MANIFEST ran a big race but this track, trip, and grade suit him. If he gets to the outside he can finish hard.

Tips: 6 – 4 – 1

1. FIRESTORM is outstanding on her day and last start when resuming she got back and had to weave a run from a mile back on a track that suited leaders. Has a good 2nd up record. Will get back here but if she finds the outside in the straight she will swamp these. There is a lot of pace in this race which suits mares like this.

2. KONASANA is a quality horse this trip. She’s a Gr2 wionner this trip and boasts a good 2nd up receord. Resumed with a solid 8th to Floozie last start and meets her 2kg better. Big show.

3. FLOOZIE is racing so well winning 4 from 4 this prep and beat most of these in doing so. Looks poised for a huge run again.

4. Sydney mare TASHI is going to love this journey. Flashed home for 2nd over 1300m behind Floozie last start and extrra 100m will help.

1. I do like the fact the topweight HIDDEN WEALTH is now back in form. Local with enormous speed early. Big weight here but will give your money a big, long ride.

2. NEEDSOME LUCK will have to live up to his name here. Very reliable, consistent type but needs to find cover. Huge hope if he does.

3. MIDNIGHT IN TOKYO is honest. Doesn’t win out of turn but this may be his turn. Placed past couple this level.
