Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for the five best bets of the day. Good luck, punters!

It happens so often now that we kinda expect it – that the Chris Waller runners improve a great deal from first start to their next run. I suspect we will see that this afternoon with SHE’S GOT VEUVE. On debut she got back over 1100m and ran home ok without threatening. Today she is fitter, tempo mid race will be a tad slower and it is 200m further. Charges late for mine.

Tip: SHE’S GOT VEUVE

Fascinating affair. But, based on nothing more than history and reputation, I’m going to suggest this TEMPLE OF ARTEMIS may just be the bet of the day. And year for that matter.

Tip: TEMPLE OF ARTEMIS

It’s not often, in fact rarely, that I like a maiden in a Class 1 Plate but I do today. I think this AUNT ROBERTA may well be a midweek stayer in the making and being 3rd up today, she can take that first step toward proving that right. Made good ground late to just miss winning her maiden last start at Hawkesbury over 1800m. Is fitter now and this isn’t strong.

Tip: AUNT ROBERTA

Last campaign RISE OF THE MASSES didn’t come back at all well and finished down the track in his two starts. Has trialled brilliantly this time around and if he captures his 2YO form he wins this comfortably.

At the weights I’m on DEFIANT DIVA in this. She’s really ready to fly now that she is 4th up and last start wasn’t too far behind FANCYLANSKI who she again meets here but meets 1.5kg better. Can turn the tables. Quinella them.
