Lots of anticipated speed as you would expect in a maiden 900m dash. And I suspect ROCKBARTON PAT has the superior earlier speed and can cross them all. If he leads he wins. Looked particularly good on debut over this journey at Newcastle when he sped out and was on pace all the way before finishing 2nd. That experience and the depth of that maiden will put him in good stead for this. The unraced I AM CONVINCING is the dark horse. Well bred and has had a few trials and a couple of trainers. Watch market re them both both Rocky just might be too fast. Quinella them up.
I was all over INDICATIVE last start in this grade in a shorter race and he was backed from $5 into $2.80. Stable confidence. He ran a cracking race to grab 2nd and is much fitter now over a slightly longer trip. I am having him in my quinella this time because I think there is a touch of class about this filly MISS CALCULATION. Today is just her 3rd race start and 2nd this campaign. Made good ground over 1350m when resuming this grade and 2nd last start. The pull in the weights, the better draw and the fact she has talent have her on top. Quinella them.

I know we have a terrific race coming up here but I think the money is slightly wrong. It’s on SYMO’S GIRL who has consistently shown she is a herd horse. So I’m tipping she looms but doesn’t go on with it instead allowing THE CHOSEN ONE to finish the hardest and win. Both horses were runners-up at their latest starts, in this grade and I just think he has more upside being 2nd up from a spell here while she has been up a long while. They look the quinella.
