Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews the Orange and Corowa meeting this afternoon, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 selected races. Good luck, punters!

This is a pretty solid Class 1 and a few of these will go on and be useful runners for their connections. I think HAVEN might be the best of them. She will settle back a bit here from this gate but she showed enough last prep to suggest she is a galloper on the improve. And each campaign he just may keep, as she has been doing, improving a few lengths. If so, she wins this. Won a recent trial and last campaign placed in a highway.

Tip: HAVEN @ $5.00

I like horses coming back in class and one from the Gary Portelli stable comes here to fill that space. It’s ROCKOVER. I don’t think he’s all that good but he only needs to be good enough for these and based on the way he gobbled up ground last start at Wyong, he looks to be. That day he was out the back door in 8th to the bend, yet in that small straight he made good ground late to grab 4th, beaten less then 2 lengths. Previously had been tried unsuccessfully as a front-runner. I see him parking here in about 6th to the bend then running them all down. Lots of money has come in for the unbeaten NARUMI who should run the quinella.  Watch betting.

Tip: ROCKOVER @ $3.20

TEMOIN CHAUD is one of those gallopers who just tries every start, and therefore is always a good bet. She can settle off the pace and will run on as she did so well when resuming from a spell last start. That day dashed late to grab 2nd in this class. Should be close enough as they straighten here and finish too hard. It’s a good little field but she is Highway grade so have in your numbers.

Tip: TEMOIN CHAUD @ $2.50
