Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews today’s Moruya meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 races. Good luck, punters!

Track: Heavy 8

Well isn’t this potentially an interesting race. COSTA CHIN CHIN is hardly a reliable horse but one thing he does love, is a wet track. And he gets that here. He is extremely fit having had a few goes this time up. Ran a close up 7th in town 2 starts back and not far away this track when 5th with 58kg last start. Now, today, a girl called Zara Castellaz-Faico hops on his back and takes 4kg off. She has never ridden a winner and has never ridden in a race this far. But, at the weights this old horse looks so well placed and the wet factor is massive. The top weight EL LAGO is long odds on but he may get bogged down late. Great quinella bet.

Here we go again. I’m on BLUE GLASS who will be ridden by a 4kg claimer in Olivier Chambers. She too has never ridden a winner and has not ever ridden a race this short. In fact, she has had 4 rides and 3 of them have run last. But this mare Blue Glass is fast and should ping the lids. Being fresh and fast and on top of that being trained here, I suspect she goes to the lead. If Olivier can angle her to the fast lane once they turn for home, she might just steal this race. Tremendous thrill for all involved if so, especially the young hoop.

So keen on HOMBRE GRANDE in this. He is a maiden but trained here and goes well this track having placed twice and likes the trip too having placed twice this journey. Is in form, is very fit and from this gate he looks to get the one, one sit and out kick them.
