The prospect of tipping a horse who has raced 19 times and still has not won a race irks me sooo much. And for that reason I’m not going to tip the obvious choice here in SERB ALERT despite her really good 2nd placings this grade at her past two runs. She is a herd horse. So I’m on KEYNES TIME instead. He resumes here but showed in both his unplaced runs that he is capable of great improvement each start. Has drawn a terrific gate today, will sit in the one, one special seat and come too hard late. I will quinella them, however!
Tip: KEYNES TIME @ $6.00

I’m going to forgive GRAND PALAZZO here. His last run was very disappointing at Nowra but I don’t think he liked being ridden that way nor being snookered in between other horses on a wet track. Better placed here with Kathy O’Hara on top. Should settle out the back and he does have a barnstorming finish when he is right. Did run 2nd the start prior in a strong BM 58 for instance coming from near last start. ADELINA looks on the improve too so throw her in for the quinella bet. I shall quinella them though.
 Tip: GRAND PALAZZO @ $4.80

A beautiful battle is emerging. Both the top weights here VAN GOGH and DHAKURI looked nicely placed. I suspect Van Gogh will head straight to the front from gate rise here. He did that this trip last prep and staved them all off. Has had three runs this time up and looks ready to rumble. Dhakuri won a Cl 1 then was beaten out of a place in town so deserves a crack back at this grade. Quinella bet all day!
