Horse Racing Tips – Sunday 6th June

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s race meetings and singles out his top three horse racing tips from Muswellbrook this afternoon.

They say weight stops trains and that may happen here but I also think class prevails and that idiom trumps the first one. REPEAL is the only horse in this field who has won a race and he showed a great pair of heels to lead and take the chocolates comfortably at Pakenham on the synthetic over 1000m. That makes him fast and tough. There is a great deal of speed inside and out of him here so with his big weight he may ease and take a sit. But he is a ready-made racehorse and I do think he gets to the line the strongest. ASHERLA is fast two and can place.

 Tip: REPEAL

This will be a good race and holds a fair bit of appeal too. All of the favoured one like to go hard so jostling for the lead is going to be hard. So I’ll settle for one that sits off the speed and can come late. That being SWORDSMAN. The market, in my opinion, is all wrong with the shorties here all seeming to cut throat each other and be weak late. This bloke Swordsman is trained by Paul Perry and he has been runner-up in this grade at his past two starts. Super fit now, he appeals a great deal.

Tip: SWORDSMAN

I do think top bush trainer Cody Morgan has landed a handy one here in LUBUK. He comes from the Chris Waller yard and Cody has had him for two runs, both unplaced but he is ready to rumble in this. When last in work he was useful up to BM 80 level. He can win this if he repeats that form. Solid 5th in a similar race last start and is much better weighted today. PATRICK MAY won that race. Quinella them.

Tip: LUBUK
