What a fascinating race to start the card with. such. strong maiden field with form lines from everywhere. Five of them have placed at their most recent runs so this will be competitive and the betting will be generous. I like this former Victorian TOOMUCHINFORMATION who is on debut up in this area after Grahame Payne, the trainer and friends bought him from Greg Eurell. His most recent run was in May and he is one fo those five who placed at his latest run. He did that at Cranbourne when rocketing home from a mile back to grab 2nd over 1200m. That was provincial level and this is bush level so if he comes here with that that type of finishing determination, I see him flashing home hard down the outside. I like HERE’S HARRY to plot home into 2nd at big odds. Great quinella bet.

Interesting race. I do like this Kris Lees trained filly EXOLAY. Mainly because she is coming back in trip. Last start she was stepped up to tray 1800m at provincial level and it was beyond her. She comes back 300m and is now super fit. She has form at this 1500m journey so is better suited here. Lots of money overnight for the in form EVOCATOR who has won 2 of past 3. They do look the ones here so I’ll quinella them also. Dylan Gibbons who is riding lights out at present is on Exolay.

Here’s the main race on this Showcase card and I like BIG SURPRISE. He is now in form, his 2nd at BM 85 level in the mud over 1280m last start suggests that. He likes it firmer and the track plays to that today plus he’s won up to a mile so should be cherry ripe for this. Was scratched the other day for this. I like that.
