This bloke HERMAN HESSE is a strong stayer and he is better than his last start 7th when under this weight he was beaten 4 lengths in super fast time over 2000m. He tried to lead that day. May have to take a sit here as there are two others who are made front-runners. If he does, take a sit, he can win. Big show.
SUPPRESSION is racing in career best form and that win last start at Mornington was full of merit. This is harder grade but he is on the rise and looks hard to beat here on his home track. Danger
OUR BAMBINO is very fit and even though he’s just a plodder this trip, the track will be wet and he could plug away into 3rd.
Tip: HERMAN HESSE
Given Verry Elleegant led the way for mares, not surprising to see CHASE MY CROWN, an emerging bush mare, flash home and win this. She is coming off a very I impressive Cl 3 Taree win last start. She loves it wet and this track will be damp. Expect her to be on speed and prove very worthy late.
CHESTNUT SCAFFA is an on pace runner and he’s won 3 of his past 4 starts, latest at Armidale over 1400m. Is fit and tough. Big show.
SCHILLER’S MYST has only raced f times and has won 2 of them. Is up in grade here but is showing a great deal of talent. last start over a mile at Scone was a win in good time. Respect her.
Tip: CHASE MY CROWN
This toppie, MAYFAIR SPIRIT is pretty handy at this level. He runs very well, is fit and in form. Must be a major threat. Respect him.
JAZZLAND is the interesting runner. If they let him slide along out in front and not put pressure on to the turn, they won’t catch him. He’s third up and is super ready to lead all the way. Big danger.
SHIBLI won like a star in the making two runs back then was caught between runners and didn’t really finish the race off this grade last start when 5th. Can improve. Respect all that. Chance.
Tip: JAZZLAND
This looks a strong race, and I think there is a lot of speed here. UNDENIABLE has been in sparkling form of late. She won two in a row then ran a courageous race when 2nd in slightly weaker race last start. Drawn perfectly and gets a 2kg claim. Looks the one to beat.
AMICHE needs to be in your numbers. She is very consistent and goes particularly well first up. Resumes here and can go on with it.
PARACHUTER is up in grade but is very fats and probably leads these. Has no weight after the claim to can keep the gallop going. Big danger.
Tip: 1. PARACHUTER
Tough race. DREAM RUNNER has been gifted a large pay cheque courtesy of his recent form and sensational gate. He really looks well in having placed at past 5 runs, all in stronger grade. Great chance.
KITZBUHEL is a very strong stayer. Won in grand style last start leading throughout and will have to do that here as he has drawn the extreme outside. Just will be used up a bit to get across but gee he’s tough animal.
Since resuming DEFY has had just two runs but latest was a really pleasing 4th and has won at this trip. Should be rattling home. Great race.
Tip: 1. DREAM RUNNER
PANDORA BLUE looks perfectly placed. She may well drive to the front and then put the brakes on. Just toyed with her rivals last start doing that and has won 4 of 6 starts thus far. On the fast track to better things. Looks the testing material.
SAQUON has taken a few runs to get him right this time up but he did make good ground this grade last start when 6th. Fitter now. .
BOWERY BREEZE has had foot on the till for a few runs now but just doesn’t seem to win. Good pace on here so gets to find feet and run on.
Tip: 1. PANDORA BLUE
Good test for SEJARDAN. He exited from gate 10, same as he has today, when he sat back and rocketed home to claim the Breeders’ Plate on debut. And this may even be easier. He looms large.
NOBEL had his first start in Melbourne and was doing best work at the end when 3rd to the flying Semillion. Longer race here and he should strip fitter. Watch the betting.
OJAI looked very mature and tough when she squeezed through runners late to win drawing clear on debut. Expect a good run.

What a good contest. The set weights makes it a bit easier. For example on past form, you can’t really go past ROCHA CLOCK. She is a stakes winner, is 3rd up, ran a slashing 2nd to the brilliant Icebath last start and is at home this trip. Needs just to finish the race to enter the million dollar earnings club.
MADAM ROUGE is ready. She is 4th up and although she has missed the board at all three runs she gets in well at the set weights today. Sure to be running on. This is her home track too.
This bush mare SPIRANAC is a mile out of her depth but she nearly should have won the Koscciuszko when flashing home for third. That was over 1200m. Will love this trip and is worth a place ticket as she is very smart.
Tip: 1. ROCHA CLOCK
The 3kg weight allowance is in the favour of FLAT HEAVEN who charged home last start when 2nd up and just failed this grade. Looks well placed today.
KINLOCH was solid first up when 3rd this grade, then 2nd up syndrome kicked in and was average when 7th this class last start. Is better than that and will improve. Respect.
FOX FIGHTER is so consistent nd is bound to run on again. Trained here and will show up.
Tip: FLAT HEAVEN
A claim and a much better draw will help ZOUSHACK here. He is racing in great heart and was a terrific 2nd this grade last start. Big danger.
BERGEN has the bad draw but probably goes hard early and hopefully finds the fence. Is third up here and back to own grade after running race of his life last start when 3rd at stakes level behind Exoboom. Big danger if he repeats that.
BLESK is steadily going through the grades. Drops 2kg after brilliantly winning a slightly easier race last start. Settles back and then just charges. Impressive win last start in shorter race and is better suited here – which is always significant.
