Horse Racing Tips & Previews – Ipswich | Wed 2nd Feb.

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Wednesdays Ipswich meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 8 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Soft 5

Rail Position: True entire circuit

CANADIAN DANCER resumes from spell. Placed in both her starts at first prep. Dominant in recent Deagon trial win and from ideal barrier she gets her chance.

HURIWAI comes into this third-up from spell. Placed in both runs this track to begin campaign and despite wide gate must consider.

SHARP AND HOT has not been disgraced in two Doomben runs. Barrier draw looks awkward but she is still a place chance.

SHALUNA resumes from spell. She was placed at Doomben when fresh first-up last time in work and if she found that form would be right in the mix.

Tip: CANADIAN DANCER

Very even maiden field and market moves vital. IMMORAL is a debutant from the Tony Gollan stable. He has won two of his four trials and placed in other two. If any money about must consider.

BAKUHATSU showed good pace sitting on the speed at Sunshine Coast first-up but still held minor placing. Drawn wide but cannot leave out.

KIPSBAY was placed at Canterbury two starts back then started favourite at Doomben last start but just needed the run. Drawn in the car park but may figure.

SERENE AFFAIR resumes from spell. She was not beaten all that far in any of her starts last time in work and if forward enough can surprise these.

Tip: IMMORAL

SYD’S FOOTPRINTS resumes from spell. Comes off sound trial win at Doomben and he was competitive in better races than this last prep. Going to have something each way.

PRINCESS BOJACK is another having first start off a break. Placed in two of her three first-up tries and she can figure in finish.

TRIP THE LIGHT started odds on favourite at Kilcoy first-up but found plenty of trouble and did not finish race off well enough. She will improve.

Tip: SYD’S FOOTPRINTS

BEFANA finished too well and held them all at bay winning first-up then she just missed when well in the market here last start. Third-up and would not leave out.

HAMLET VON SNITZEL resumes from spell. He has been placed fresh and took on some nice races last campaign. Must include in exotics.

I PROMISE YOU was beaten less than a length at Doomben last start. She finds similar race from ideal barrier and she must be respected.

Tip: BEFANA

HARLEQUIN FIELD looks the likely speed and he controlled the race to win at Doomben last start. If he gets similar run here he will take catching.

WHAM had no luck when always wide before tiring at Ballina last start. He had been racing well previously and would consider in this field.

STARVIRGO looked unlucky not to have beaten Red Bloom in town last start when held-up vital stage. If he holds that form he will be right in the mix.

GETYOURGREYON has not been beaten all that far in some nice races of late and he should get nice run from ideal barrier and can sneak a place.

Tip: HARLEQUIN FIELD

Like the way RHYME TIME fought the race out at Doomben last start and she held onto minor placing. If she can produce similar run here she looks nice each way value.

DORSET COAST looks the likely speed. Won from the front at Gold Coast two starts back before tiring at Ballina last start. Should be suited around Ipswich and takes catching.

OCTAVIAN looked home at Ballina last start but just found one better final stages. Finds similar race and cannot be left out of chances.

Tip: RHYME TIME

ATLANTIC EAGLE sat back in second half before finishing all over them to win maiden at Doomben. She looks like she will win better races than this.

Liked the way STYLE SEEKER hit the line to get the major prize at Doomben last start. Comes into this third-up and although this harder cannot dismiss.

NAUGHTY HARRY finished too well in tight room to win maiden at Doomben on debut. Gets up a level but drawn ideally and not reason will not be in chance again.

Tip: ATLANTIC EAGLE

SACCA comes into this ready to win third-up from spell. He finished close behind The Lioness and Wolf Moon at Sunshine Coast last start. That form god for this.

MERIDEN FLASH resumed in dominant fashion at Ballina last start and that made it two from two. Expect he will be a factor again.

MAYBE THE BEST joins the David Vandyke stable from Victoria. She has been racing in consistent form and looks good enough for this.

BRAVE WARRIOR is first-up from spell. Did not measure up in better race at Eagle Farm before break. Previous form had been solid enough to be in finish in this.

Tip: SACCA
