Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews the Bathurst meeting this afternoon, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 selected races. Good luck, punters!
Track Condition: Soft 6
Rail Position: Â True all way
Lots of money has come overnight for FEAR THE TRUTH trained by Jason Coyle. And rightly so. Â She has run really well at both her starts this campaign, ending up 4th each time and should strip super fit today in a race that appears a few lengths easier than last start. The outside draw is not helpful but she doesn’t have a lot of early speed so no doubt eases to find a spot. If she gets cover, look out. There has also been money for the unraced HE WILL ACHEEV who trialled nicely. Â Obvious quinella all day.
The very long straight at Dubbo last start would have looked a long way for ARIMATHEA when she turned for home. Was resuming from a spell she was a clear 2nd behind the eventual winner Billabong Isle, but she was on her own, in the centre of the track and just running out ion gas. She did well to run 3rd. Now, beating her home in the last bound was rival here RUBICK SUN who finished on hard. This time though, Arimathea is on her home track and gets a 4kg turnaround. Â Quinella bet too.
Tip: ARIMATHEA @ $5.50
A new lease on life may be the reason the toppie here, HONEYWINE, is going so well. Ever since he was transferred from Melbourne to Garry Lunn’s barn at Dubbo, the old boy have raced three times for a win and two runner-up cheques. All in this grade. He is very fit, carries weight well and can sit up near the speed all the way. That’s a great recipe for success.
Tip: HONEYWINE @ $5.00
