I do like the look of this contest. AMEN BROTHER is smart and has his foot on the till. I probably would have had him on top had he drawn a good gate. But he hasn’t so I think the filly INSPIRED DREAM lands the cash here. She should be up on the speed from the get go and the 2kg claim will me a major help too. All her starts, which include a last start placing at Moruya this trip and class, have been on heavy tracks. I think this one, which is drying out by the second, will suit her and this track also always plays kindly towards those who get up on speed. Quinella them but it should be a solid race.
Tip: INSPIRED DREAM
Last prep this top weight LETHAL LADY was one of the best juveniles trained at Canberra and looked stakes level. This was following three runs, latest when 5th in the Gr 3 Black Opal. She has spelled nicely and was a well-held together 4th in a recent large trial. Awkwardly drawn on this wet track and has all the weight but I just think sheer class gets her across the line. HAGLER is on debut and he was impressive in that same trial finishing ahead of her. Quinella them.
Tip: LETHAL LADY
This old bloke TENORINO hasn’t won for a long time but the rising 10YO looks well placed today to break that run of outs. His latest effort was in a weaker race when solidly supported and coming from 12th on the end in the mud to finish an impressing 2nd with a huge weight. The 4kg claim today means he carries no weight today on a similar heavy track. Looks to run home hard again.
