Horse Racing Tips – Kensington | Wed 18th August

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s Kensington meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for all 7 races. Good luck, punters!

Track Condition: Good 4

Rail Position: Out 5m entire

Loved the way YEARNING ran on debut. She finished 2nd in a similar race and that experience is invaluable. She went on to take on stakes company after that before spelling. Has run a pair of solid trials since. Have in your numbers.

This unraced filly VON TRAPP might be very handy. Won a trial easily and is impeccably bred. Badly drawn though so may have to drop out and charge late. Big danger.

On debut here but SCAT’S SURFER GIRL has looked handy in two trials. Jay Mac to ride so watch betting. Might shock. Must be included.

This draw gives GREATER HARLEM a good shot here. He resumes in this but has accepted for a few races of late and that is generally a sign a horse is ready to win. Watch market.

DEVIL’S THROAT was 4th in the same type of race on debut last start. With that under his belt he came out and ran a bottler this grade when 2nd. It’s his home track too.  Looks ready to run boldly.

There is a school of thought in various, ‘in the know’ places that ALL ENGLAND is smart. Respect him. Big danger.

Toppie DARLEB resumes here with a big weight but is down in grade. Has a touch of smarts on his day and generally goes well fresh enough. So on that score she has claims.

SUPER EFFORT up in grade here but hard to look past the two runs this time up. Both full of merit and the win was particularly sound. Big show.  Watch market.

The wide draw is not idea for AKIHIRO but Jay Mac has been engaged and he will find a spot. Terrific 2nd when resuming last start.

Interesting race. This toppie HIBISCUS LADY has had 4 runs this time up and hasn’t won, but her efforts have all been handy. And more importantly, have been achieved in harder races. Should settle about 5th with cover and should also run on.

MISS BALTIMORE will know she’s been in a race here. Is up in grade but needs to be after leading throughout and easily winning her past 3 runs. All on out of town tracks. Has talent and probably tries that tactic again.

BILLIONDOLLARBABY is ambitiously named but she has raced twice for two wins. Both is easier races. Resumes here but the whispers are she is smart.  This should suit.

These are tough races. Different winners every week. KUTAYHA has the big weight here but is very fit and is the model of consistency. Bound to settle just off the speed and form suggests this looks perfect.

YUKON was on speed all the way in a very similar race and got the prize narrowly last start. Kutayha was 3rd that day and they meet on the same weight scale again so he must rate highly. Respect.

ICECRUSHER is very honest and very fit. She has already won two easier races this prep in SA and Hughie takes the mount here.  Can place. Is very fit.

This top weight FAVREAU may be set for an early kill which will shock a few as he is resuming and appears to be a stayer of some note in the making. Was 6th in the Gr 1 Derby and then 3rd in the 2800m St Leger before spell. Two good trials have him fit enough for a bold first-up showing. And has Hughie to ride.

OFF SHAW has taken a while to reach his straps but now 5th up, and following a solid 5th this grade with a little more weight last start, make him an each way show.

COMMAND KING is up in grade but is also in career best form winning nicely slightly weaker race last start. Has strong claims.

The 3kg claim for Ellen Hennessy here will help the in and out mare INVINCIBLE KISS. She’s very fit (so is Ellen) and has the perfect draw. Bound to make presence felt. Watch betting.

NOSEY is very good first-up and resumes here. Hughie has the mount. Money has come in too. Can win.

ESCAPE ARTIST is fast and although can mix form, is fit and capable when mind is on the job.  Drawn well and looms large.

Good race.

Tip:   NOSEY
