Horse Racing Tips – Hawkesbury | Wed 13th April

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at today’s NSW race meeting and singles out his top three hopes from each race for Hawkesbury  this afternoon.

Rail: Out 3m from 1100m to 450m, true remainder

Track: Soft 7

This looks a nice race. ATOINE looked handy when resuming and dashing into 2nd place at this level before completely being run over last start. Third up presents a different, easier assignment here.

DEEP EXPECTATION has her foot on the till. Has been runner-up at two of past three outings and unless one of these unarmed ones can jump out of the ground, she looks the one to beat.

IN SECRET is unraced and has been backed overnight. Jay Mac rides. Worth looking at as her trial was very strong.  Has claims.

Fascinating race. CADETSHIP ran a cracker at this level on debut. Sat just off the pace and closed well when 2nd. Must be fitter now and should run right up to that.

SHALAILED resumes here and trial was good. Was placed twice at first two starts in opening prep. Should have learned from that and grown. Watch market.

MANZONI got a mile back in recent trial but when given his head really hit the line hard circling the field to win. Clearly has talent and finishing power. Is yet to race but market moves need watching.

I like the look of this toppie NORWEGIAN BLISS. She has raced 4 times for 4 easy wins and in each start the class improved. Big weight here while resuming but Jay Mac engaged and she actually is in a slightly easier race than last start before spell which she won by just over a length beating Saturday grade mares.

This mare STORMBORN is talented also. She has been up a good while but is very consistent and honest and handles this grade. Watch market.

Her stablemate, SACRIMONY, is also gifted. Carried Hughie to victory in a midweek then was beaten a head when 2nd in town on a Saturday. Resumes here and trialled well. Has claims.

MILITARY MISSION, formerly of England, has adapted quite well to Aussie training and showed that with an easy romping the mud last start at this very level. Goes up 2.5kg but gets another heavy track and can win again. Drawn well and is very fit. Big danger.

This may be a step up in class for SOUND OF CANNONS but two x 3rd placings in staying races of late suggest a bit of talent is there.

AVION FURY is 3rd up here and will be big odds. But, on his best he is actually weighted to win this. Watch market.

Fascinating race. Despite the big weight SEBRENCO seems nicely placed and did win something similar two runs back. Drawn well for this.

CALGARY QUEEN is 3rd up and is ready to go bang. Jay Mac to ride and terrific 3rd last start. strips a few lengths fitter this time too.

THALASSOPHILE won well last start but in weaker grade. Still, was 2nd up that day so is fitter now and should run boldly. Respect.

SALINA DREAMING has earned this huge weight with just so much consistent racing. Always puts in and can’t see why she can’t here either. Is very fit and has good form on heavy ground. Back in grade here after a great 2nd last start.

GARRISON hasn’t raced much, having just 11 starts to date but he puts in and on this wet track today he might run a blinder. Tends to go forward early.

BLUE MISSILE is very fast early and probably has no option from this gate other than  to hunt forward. Is 3rd up here and if she finds a comfortable rhythm will take beating.

It doesn’t seem to matter what the state of the track is, TOO MUCH CAVIAR just gets out, goes hard early and does his job. Ran 2nd on a heavy track last start when resuming and in this grade. Will take catching.

JERLE needs to lift on past two starts but is 3rd up now and should strip a lot fitter. Revels in this grade. Is much better than that.

BIG SURPRISE has talent but draw is awkward. Probably comes across and looks to slot in about 3rd. Is 2nd up and goes well this company.

Fascinating race. Once again, a wet track, a race EASY CAMPESE can win at a trip and a draw that means he has to go hard early. And right there, that gives him a big chance.

KALAPOUR has never raced at this trip but has raced at stakes level in Ireland. The fact Hughie is on at his debut Aussie run means he is worth looking at.

BORN A KING resumes here but has form last campaign was outstanding for a race like this and Jay Mac rides so watch him closely.
