Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at every runner in Saturday’s  $2m Magic Millions Guineas for 3YOs with horse racing tips for the first four. Read on to see how he maps the hectic scamper. Good luck!

1. TIJUANA (7) 11x33156x

T: Team Hayes / J: Mark Zahra  (58kg)

This is a very smart colt. He resumes here but given he has finishing power and a terrific first-up record you’d be mad if you left him out of your numbers. He can sit about 6th to the bend and unleash.

2. FASHION LEGEND (18) 412×3111

T: Team Freedman / J: Josh Parr (57kg)

Rising star on the way up. Up on speed galloper who sat 2nd to the bend before narrowly prevailing at Gr 3 level this age last start. Is getting better with every start but may be used up a bit to get across here from this draw. Still, rates highly.

3. KING’S CONSORT  (2) 31422×5733

T: Team Freedman / J: Ben Melham (56kg)

Pretty good run hitting the line hard when  3rd in the Sandown Guineas over a mile last start. Was spelled after that as he had done very well in many races leading up to it. So, is tough and sound and runs home hard. Resumes here and will get back but this home straight suits him.

4. YELLOW BRICK (5) 1x3111x1

T: Team Sears / J: Ben Thompson  (56kg)

Big, big danger as he is ready to fire up now. We finally get to see just how good he is after he’s won 5 of his 6 race starts to date latest over 1200m easily in record time when he claimed the $750,000 big race at Toowoomba. Can lead these and has won over a mile so no problem getting the trip. Is exciting and will be strongly fancied.

5. SPIRITULAISED  (16) 2x1211x361

T: Tony Gollen / J: James Orman (56kg)

Is very fast and showed a dazzling clean set of heels last week when leading all the way here in strong lead up race. This is harder and there will be a great amount of pace on but he is rock solid and is tough. Should run boldly.

6. SOOTHSAYER  (19) x5x162111

T:  Lee Freedman /  J: Boris Thornton (56kg)

Has talent and is getting better with racing. Has won at his past 3 race starts, latest at Doomben over a mile in good time sitting just off the main speed all the way. Has a fighter’s mentality and as such should be right in the fray at the end here.

7. HELL I AM (11) 42x1411x13

T: John O’Shea /J: Jamie Kah (56kg)

Tough horse from Sydney. Races like he will enjoy this trip although he’s yet to run this far. Did make impressive ground late when 3rd in recent Gosford Guineas over 1200m. Wins in one more bound. Keep safe.

8. MISHANI WARFARE (4) x880776x37

T: Les Ross / J: Brodie Loy  (56kg)

Likes to sit off the pace but has never shown up at this level so looks tested again.

9. CUSACK  (12) 10x2855x70

T: Trent Busuttin & Nat Young/ J: Regan Bayliss (56kg)

Is not likely to bother the better ones here. Has raced 8 times with just 1 win and recent form is poor.

10. GREEN SHADOWS (13) 1450×55222

T: Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou / J: Brenton Avdulla  (56kg)

Looks a big threat. Only a handicapper but is very honest and puts himself in the race every time. Been runner-up 3 times in a row at Saturday level, each time beaten in close photos. This is harder but his honesty keeps him in the picture.

11. NORTHERN EXPRESS  (15) 2161×53166

T: Michael Nolan /J: Willy Pike (56kg)

Is very fit but is aiming a bit high here following his latest 6th beaten 5 lengths by Yellow Brick at Toowoomba.

12. STROLL (10) 13x61x313

T: Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted/  J: Craig Williams (54.5kg)

Very honest filly who just keeps finding a way to be in the picture. Scored at stakes level against own gender before running a good 3rd last start to Fashion Legend when making ground late. Place at odds.

13. TYRESA (6) 15091×6053

T:Kelly Schweida / J: Larry Cassidy (54.5kg)

Smart filly when right and seems to have her foot back on the till. Was a stakes winner last prep and last start, her 4th since resuming, she ran home hard in 1800m stakes race. Will get back but certainly not the roughest.

14. RUSSIAN CONQUEST  (9) 1240x747x2

T: Team Snowden / J: James McDonald (55kg)

Is very interesting. And on her day is very smart. This time last year she flew home to just miss in the $2m MM Classic. Wet tracks have plagued her career but is she gets a fast one here, which is likely, she will make her presence felt late. Should get a charmed run just off the speed and was a terrific 2nd when resuming at stakes level last start. Big danger.

15. LATAKIA (3) 161

T: Tony Gollen /  J: Tim Clark (54kg)

Good filly who is 3 starts into what looks like a good career coming up. And already won 2 races including last start in the $250,000 lead up to this last week here over 1300m. This is 125m further and stronger but has the dream draw and is on the way up.

16. SHALAILED (20) x212x42326

T: John O’Shea / J: Tommy Berry (56kg)

Multiple stakes placed colt and that resonates here. However, as his past two runs, both of which have been handy, he has finished behind Hell I AM which makes him vulnerable here.

17. WEALTHY INVESTOR  (17) 95x11650x3

T: Damien Lane / J: – (56kg)

Form prior to exciting last start 3rd to Spiritualized here last week was average. Not keen from this gate.

18. MISHANI PERSUASION (1) x3333547x8

T: Les Ross / J: –  (56kg)

Will be a million to one and should race like it.

 19. WEST OF AFRICA (8) 0x1233

T: Annabel Neasham / J: Chad Schofield  (56kg)

Good 3rd when hitting the line to Soothsayer over a mile 2 runs back then last start over 1300m, got a mile back but rocketed home when 3rd to Spiritualized here last week. Is a knock out chance if he gains a run.

20. HELLAVADANCER (14) 0x2141x345

T: Kris Lees / J: – (54kg)

Nice honest filly who probably doesn’t get a run but if she does she is fit and can make ground.
