Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at every runner in Saturday’s  $1.5m Gold Rush Stakes with horse racing tips for the first four. Read on to see how he maps – he has included the potential for a damp track in his thoughts. Good luck!

1. KEMENTARI (11) 0x103x5473

T: James Cummings / J: Jamie Kah  (59kg)

Has been in WA for about month and did trial well the other day. Look, he is capable of blowing by these and winning as he likes – if his mind is on the job. Last start when 3rd to Private Eye was a ripper of a run. Loves this trip, is well suited at the weight scale and looms very large. Respect him a great deal.

2. VILANA (1) x1151x181

T: James Cummings / J: Ben Melham (59kg)

Rising star on the way up. Just toyed with a good field in Sydney last start. Long trip to be here but he is showing top grade form and is only 4th up here. Looks the one to beat if he races up to his latest form, but caution – is coming back 100m in trip. Is very smart though.

3. ELITE STREET  (12) 1113x11x46

T: Dan Morton / J: Brad Rawiller  (59kg)

Pretty good run hitting the line hard when 2nd up last start and 6th beaten 2 lengths to Paulele in Gr 1 Winterbottom. This extra 100m and now 3rd up make him a major threat. Probably gets back a bit to find a spot but if he does, he is going to finish very hard.

4. THE ASTROLOGIST (5) 633×646368

T: Team Corstens / J: Willy Pike  (59kg)

Big, big danger and will be good odds. Never saw daylight when beaten just over 3 lengths by Paulele. Will have settled into WA lifestyle now, that run will be a big help and has drawn perfectly. If he gets out early in the straight he can win this.

5. MASSIMO  (2) 3x4833x310

T: Team Cangemi / J: Brad Parnham (59kg)

Drawn well and may improve on poor run last start when on speed and weakening to 14th behind Paulele. Will be on pace for a good while.

6. STAGEMAN  (14) 722×299040

T:  Adam Durrant  J: Joseph Azzopardi (59kg)

Generally races well at this level. past few runs have been only average though with a well-beaten 10th to Paulele. This is no easier.

7. RED CAN MAN (3) x222x64820

T: Steve Wolfe /J: Shaun McCruddy (59kg)

Tough horse who will be big odds based on his fading 12th to Paulele. but he will improve a lot from this gate and he is right up to these on his day. Have in your numbers.

8. COMFORT ME (9) 125x90x452

T: Rhys Radford / J: Peter Knuckey  (59kg)

Perfectly drawn and should be a length off the pace all the way and is expected to run very well. Did all that last start in the Gr 1 Railway behind Kissonallforchjeeks when 2nd. Ran out of his skin that day and this trip suits even more. Respect this horse.

9. RESORTMAN  (10) 9×31911134

T:  Michael Lane  J: Damiem Oliver (59kg)

Generally races well at this level. Beautifully ridden last start with the run of the race when a game and courageous 4th to Trix Of The Trade in the Gr 1 Railway over a mile. Does seem to run better at this trip and if he finds cover he can be competitive.

10. BEAU ROSSA (8) 27x47x99x47

T: Will Clarken / J: Todd Pannell  (59kg)

Pretty smart, certainly good enough to be in this finish when at his best. Comes into this race 3rd up this time after a good, solid 7th to Paulele. Is going really well and should be a player in this finish.

11. HOT ZED  (13) 3x426x4914

T: Lou Luciani /J: Jason Whiting (59kg)

Another who likes to get back and run on. After carrying a big weight in a low key BM 78 to victory, he ran right up to that when a solid 4th to Paulele at this level last start. Is very honest but wide draw is against him. Place show.

12. TITAN BINDERS (6) 350×542250

T: Team Gangemi /  J: Laqdar Ramoly (59kg)

Is generally reliable enough hut at this level he may find it tough. Never a threat when 11th in the 1200m Gr 1 Winterbottom last start and not won for a long time.

13. MINSK MOMENT (17) 56120×4181

T: Adam Durant / J: Clint Johnston-Porter (59kg)

Last start when resuming and charging late to win stakes race over 1400m here in WA debut was an impressive effort. This is much harder but is showing a lot of talent. Can change late and place.

14. KISSONALLFORCHEEKS  (7) 104×316062

T: Dan Morton / J: Chris Parnham (57kg)

Won a Gr 2 this trip at Flemington back in September. Came from a mile back that day on a wet track. Form average then for 3 runs until last start when she got clear and rocketed dow the outside to grab 2nd to Paulele. Was finishing off hard and it suggested this trip would suit more.

15. THIS’LL TESTYA  (16) 511x5x2213

T: Mitch Pateman /  J: Lucy Warwick (56.5kg)

Good mare who has gone to a new level this time up. After finishing too hard to win here over 1100m at Gr 3 level in good time, she stepped up to the Gr 1 Winterbottom and ran home hard from near last on the bend to grab 3rd to Paulele. If she repeats that effort, the extra 200m here will suit and she can win.

16. KARLI’S KARMA (4) 33133×1120

T: Summer Dickson / J: Shaun O’Donnell  (57kg)

After winning a handicap here this trip, she came out and was narrowly beaten in a. Gr 3 this trip and track. Never gave a yelp in the Gr 1 Railway over a mile last start. Not keen.

17. KIO ORA STAR  (15) 0x07761575

T: Roy Rogers / J: – (59kg)
