Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at every runner in Saturday’s  Group 1 $5million All-Star Mile with horse racing tips for the first four. Read on to see how he maps – he has included the potential for a damp track in his thoughts. Good luck!

1. I’M THUNDERSTRUCK (5) x214225x43

T; Mick Price & Michael Kent / J: Dan Moor (59kg)

So solid, so consistent, so tough and always peaks on these big days. He maps to get a great run in about 6th and being third up he charges home. Big, big chance.

2. ALLIGATOR BLOOD (7) 1x721551x1

T: Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott / J: Blake Shinn (59kg)

Probably goes hard to find the front but if Gentleman Roy goes with him he can sit behind him. Did that last start when Nugget took him on and proved too strong. Very consistent, is extremely popular and loves this trip. Big show.

3. CASCADIAN  (14) 1x341154x5

T: James Cummings/ J: Ben Melham (59kg)

Good first up run when hitting the line well and 5th in the Gr 1 Canterbury Stakes over 1300m. Loves this trip and he does scream home when he wants to. Is a Gr 1 winner and always runs well 2nd up.

4. MR BRIGHTSIDE (2) x115473x52

T: Team Hayes / J: Luke Currie (59kg)

Just doesn’t know how to run a bad race. Has been set for this and is 3rd up after two terrific lead tip races. Perfect draw here too and is a Gr 1 winner over a mile. Rates very highly.

5. SO SI BON  (15) 4235734120

T: Team Hayes/ J: Harry Coffey  (59kg)

Is smart on his day in handicap races but will find this hard. Plus, draw is horrid.

6. LAWS OF INDICES (6) 9x42833x64

T: Annabel Neasham  / J: Oisin Murphy (59kg)

Not won for quite a while but has run some almighty races and been placed both here and abroad in Gr 1 events. Is 3rd up here, has one of the world’s best riders on top and is going to park up in a great spot all the way. Big show.

7. AEGON (8) 00x6142x64

T: Andrew Forsman /J: Blaike McDougall (59kg)

Might run a big race. Is also third up and his two lead up runs have been excellent. Last start was making good ground when 4th to Alligator Blood in the Gr 1 Futurity over 1400m. Suited this trip.

8. ALENQUER (9) 9x1616x69

T:  Michael Moroney /J: Jordan Childs  (59kg)

Very interesting galloper and if there is a market move may pay to follow it. Did win a Gr 1 in Ireland last year beating Gr 1 Cox Plate winner State Of Play. Last start was 9th of 20 in the 2400m Arc de Triumph in France. Moved to Australia now and this is his debut run. Obviously is very smart.

9. THE INEVITABLE (3) 412×111111

T; Scott Brunton / J: David Pires (59kg)

Outstanding galloper from Tasmania with 16 wins under his belt and won his past 6 on the bounce. Is up in grade here but his consistency is priceless. Drawn to get the run of the race too. Has claims.

10. MY OBERON (11) 61x13x16x6

T: Annabel Neasham/ J: Jamie Mott (59kg)

Under rated galloper who has some impressive efforts on his resume including a win in a similar race last prep this trip on a wet track. Didn’t show up when last to Alligator Blood last start when resuming.  Place show.

11. GENTLEMAN ROY  (10) 1x2146x124

T: Team Hayes/ J: Dan Stackhouse (59kg)

Tough and fast but this trip will find him out late, especially if Alligator Blood makes him work early. Not keen.

12. POUNDING (12) 5125821112

T: Peter Moody/ J: Luke Nolen (59kg)

Comes home hard and deserves a crack at this level by way of his consistency. Ran 2nd last start this trip in Gr 2 Blamey. Carrying this weight against these stars is his biggest problem. place.

13. NUGGET (1) x14x211135

T: Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace/ J: Damien Oliver (59kg)

May be the surprise packet here. Was ridden rather foolishly as it turns out last start speeding to the front and racing Alligator Blood at break neck speed in the Gr 1 Futurity. Naturally he folded and ran 5th. Probably goes forward here too but not as fast and settles with cover on the fence. Will be in the finish.

14. KEATS (4) 0141210×43

T: Gavin Bedggood/ J: Craig Newitt (59kg)

More than handy handicapper who can go hard early also. This grade and this weight will be his undoing though.

15. SHEEZA BELTER (13) 311x81x783

T: John O’Shea / J: Willy Pike  (54kg)

On the quick back up from last week when a slashing 3rd in the Gr 1 Coolmore. Does possess a powerful finishing burst on her day and loves this journey. Is 4th up into this and must be highly regarded.
