Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at every runner in Saturday’s  Group 1 $1million Randwick Guineas with horse racing tips for the first four. Read on to see how he maps – he has included the potential for a damp track in his thoughts. Good luck!

1. MANZOICE (14) 219281x

T; Chris Waller / J: Tim Clark  (56.5kg)

Stayer who won the Gr 1 VRC Derby last campaign. Resumes here and tough ask from wide draw and Gr 1 first up. But…he might be very special. Will get back and sure to be running on.

2. OSIPENKO (4) 12x73x51

T: Chris Waller / J:Nash Rawiller (56.5kg)

Has a devastating finish when he wants to produce it and it was on display in the 1400m Gr 2 Hobartville last start when he drove through to win a thrilling 3-way finish from Zou Tiger and Matcha Latte with Aft Cabin unplaced. Is 3rd up, is very fit and extremely strong.

3. AFT CABIN  (10) 2121×15

T: James Cummings / J; James McDonald (56.5kg)

After winning first up in extremely fast time here from Zou Tiger, he was ridden on pace like a $1.55 chance last start and folded the last 150m for 5th to Osipenko. Has been heavily backed to bounce back here and if ridden off speed may well destroy them.

4. ZOU TIGER (6) 22x183x22

T: John O’Shea / J: Brenton Avdulla (56.5kg)

From this draw he looms very large. Should park up in probably the one, one seat and being 3rd up here he will hit the line hard. Has never run this trip but beaten half a head by Osipenko in crucial lead up race last start. Big threat.

5. MATCHA LATTE (5) 534x1224x3

T: Mark Newnham/ J: Tom Sherry (56.5kg)

This is a terrific racehorse who seems to be on the improve every run. Has run 2nd in the Gr 3 Ming Dynasty, 2nd in the Gr 3 Gloaming, beaten half a length in the Gr 1 Champion and last start when resuming was beaten a head in the Hobartville. Is up with the very best of these.

6. WILLIAMSBURG (8) 3x85135x74

T: Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou / J: Ryan Maloney (56.5kg)

Good handicap type who runs boldly at this level. Has won 4 races thus far and resumed from a spell with solid 4th to Osipenko in the Hobartville. Trip suits and has won here this journey at stakes level. Place show.

7. PROMITTO (9) 11x76D30x0

T: David Atkins /J: Christian Reith (56.5kg)

Did nothing when resuming and last to Osipenko last start. Has enough talent but hasn’t shown in for a long time now.

8. COMMUNIST (7) 2114122×37

T:  Michael Freedman /J: Zac Purton (56.5kg)

Good miler on his day and is 3rd up in this so presents very fit. Good 3rd to Aft Cabin when resuming and not far away when 7th to Osipenko last start. Can run into a place.

9. LINDERMANN (12) 16x2292x51

T: Chris Waller / J: Kerrin McEvoy (56.5kg)

Is the interesting runner. Led all way to win easily and in very fast time over 1400m in a BM 78 last start. Is up in grade a long way but that time is faster than these all have run so must be considered if allowed to lead.

10. Holymanz (11) –

T: SCRATCHED

11. The Fortune Teller  (13) –

SCRATCHED

12. Attrition  (1) –

SCRATCHED today.

13. HOLLYWOOD HERO (2) 3221

T: Bjorn Baker / J: Rachel King (56.5kg)

Started 4 times for a win last start and 3 placings, all in maiden grade. Has ability but big ask to step from midweek maiden to a Gr 1. Runs on speed.

14. CUT ON A DIME (3) 73×1

T: Bryce Hayes/ J: Tyler Schiller (56.5kg)

Is lightly raced but is getting better by the minute. Ran down Hollywood Hero in a maiden last start and shows staying talent. But this is a big step up in class.
