Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, looks at every runner in Saturday’s  Group 1 $1million Galaxy with horse racing tips for the first four. Read on to see how he maps – he has included the potential for a damp track in his thoughts. Good luck!

1. EDUARDO (13) 312x1406x2

T; Joe Pride / J: Nash Rawiller (59kg)

Outstanding galloper who will be in this for a long way. But will have to defy history if he is to carry this weight to win. Exceptionally fast early and first up run was a cracker beaten on the line by Passive Aggressive in the Gr 2 Clhallenge over 1000m. Such a big ask here from bad gate but is powerful normally 2nd up.

2. UNCOMMON JAMES (4) 211x111x21

T: Steven O’Dea & Matt Hoysted/ J: Damian Lane (54.5kg)

Looks perfectly placed. Just keeps winning and his game Gr 1 win in the Oakleigh Plate last start shows he is a legit Gr 1 galloper. Doesn’t have to lead to win and from this beautiful gate just sits up behind the speed until they turn. Big danger.

3. In The Congo  (11) –

T: –

SCRATCHED

4. ZOUSTYLE (8) x39x2332x5

T: Tony Gollan / J: Regan Bayliss (53kg)

This bloke has tremendous speed but will he use it against these? Probably. Led clearly and tired last 100m when 5th to Uncomm0n James when resuming last start in the 1100m Gr 1 Oakleigh Plate. Meets him 3kg better here. But is fitter. Has a great 2nd up record and looms large.

5. ROCKETING BY (3) x7389

T: David Pfeiffer/ J: Dylan Gibbons (52.5kg)

Is smart enough to trouble these on his best form and will love this light weight. But will get back and at this level these guys tend not to stop. Not keen.

6. ASFOORA (5) 113x1711x3

T: Henry Dwyer  / J: Jye McNeil (51.5kg)

Very smart, speedy mare from Melbourne. Made good ground late when beaten a length by Uncommon James in the Gr 1 Oakleigh last start. was resuming that day and meets him 3kg better. Should find a nice spot here and with no weight can go close.

7. REMARQUE (9) x55x118x14

T: Team Hawkes /J: Kerrin McEvoy (51.5kg)

At the weights looks the one to beat. Probably drives forward early as he is 3rd up now and will take up a spot in about 5th spot, maybe one out. If he gets cover he will finish hard. Beaten 1.5lengths last start by Passive Aggressive and Eduardo in the Challenge over 1000m. Meets old Eddy 8.5kg better!

8. MARIAMIA (2) 631443×114

T:  Joe Pride  /J: Tyler Schiller  (51kg)

Tough mare who is very fit and drawn well. Didn’t see the trip out last start over 1300m when 4th to Electric Girl in Gr 2 race. Has a superb record at this journey and with this light weight looms as a place show.

9. SHADES OF ROSE (10) 1xP211118x

T; Bjorn Baker / J: Rachel King (51kg)

Outstanding galloper who will nearly win this. If she can find cover. Won a string of races with bigger weights and in fast time before a close up 8th in The Everest when covering a little ground. Two trial wins this prep have been brilliant. Bad draw but is super smart.

10. GENERATION (12) 240x2436x8

T: Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace/ J: Jay Ford (51kg)

Looks to have the job ahead from this gate. Likes to be on pace and if he drives forward from here he will be trapped deep and will lose. Too awkwardly placed to consider.

11. ANDERMATT  (7) 143x40x741

T: James Cummings / J: Michael Dee (51kg)

Restricted class sprinter who is in form but is outclassed at this level.

12. KEY LARGO (6) 424x126x76

T: Bryce Heys / J: Brock Ryan (51kg)

Useful run in the Challenge when 6th behind Passive Aggressive but these are just too quick for him.

13. CANNONBALL (1) x11x4843x1

T: Team Snowden/ J: Robbie Dolan (51kg)

Is smart enough to trouble these. Is very fast and led all way last week to win Gr 3 here this trip in fast time. Drops 3kg on that run and is fitter. Has the rails draw so probably goes hard early but doesn’t need to lead. Respect him at the weights.
