Rosehill R8 – $600k Gr 1 Coolmore Classic (Females) 1500m
1. HINGED (12) 4x53358x26
T; Chris Waller / J: James McDonald (57kg)
Terrific mare. Is honest and is 3rd up here after two solid WFA runs. Is trained here, loves this trip and from this gate probably goes up toward the front from the get go. Is tough and looms large.
2. ANNAVISTO (16) 53x142x0x1
T: Mick Price & Michael Kent / J: Nash Rawiller (56kg)
Is second up here after leading all the way to win her 2nd Gr 3 Tressady Stakes at Flemington last start. From this gate will charge hard early and may have to use up some fuel. But is fast and tough. Significant to note, male rider here for the first time in over a year! And a great front-running rider too.
3. HOPE IN YOUR HEART (9) 0x811142x1
T: Kerry Parker / J; Tim Clark (56kg)
This is a good racehorse and she should be finishing hard out wide. Likes it damp too. Brilliantly won the Gr 3 Angst over a mile, then next start was a close 4th in the $10million Golden Eagle, before narrowly beaten into 2nd in The Gong. Resumed from a spell to finish hard and win the Gr 2 Guy Walter over 1400m from Larkspur Run and Mustang Valley. Is very consistent. Big chance.
4. MUSTANG VALLEY (11) x211210xL3
T:Andrew Forsman/ J: Chad Schofield (55kg)
Good mare from New Zealand and she is a Gr 1 winner. Loves it wet too. Rattled home to just miss behind Hope In Your Heart last start over 1400m and her NZ form suggests this trip suits more. Sure to run on hard.
5. Zougotcha (14) –

6. MIRRA VISION (3) 268x9722x6
T: Team Snowden / J: Tom Sherry (54kg)
Good tough mare who was ridden hard last start to lead and wilt beaten just over 2 lengths by Hope In Your Heart. Meets her a kilo better and is a dab hand at this journey. Strips fitter and drawn to make a big play in this as she will sit off the pace this time then charge.
7. PURPLEPAY (5) 13x6155x6x
T: William Haggas /J: Regan Bayliss (53.5kg)
Pretty smart British star who resumes here and is on debut in Australia. Has won at Gr 2 level in France over a mile. Has a great draw but is she forward enough on what will probably be a fast track to be there all the way? Place show at best.
8. EXPAT (1) 159x9707x2
T: Mark Newnham /J: Tyler Schiller (53kg)
On her day when allowed to lead without pressure she can be near impossible to run down. Led until final stages when resuming last start here behind the smart Electric Girl at Gr 2 level, beaten half a length. There are a few who like to lead but she has the rails.
9. RUTHLESS DAME (10) 11×32
T: Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace / J: Dylan Gibbons (52.5kg)
Is extremely gifted and is ready to win. Gets to drop in one off the fence in about 6th then can unleash. Is 3rd up here so strips super fit now too. Only lightly raced but has enormous talent. Beaten a lip by Sunshine In Paris last start in Gr 1 Surround Stakes. Looms largest.
10. SHEEZA BELTER (7) 0311x81x78
T: Team Snowden / J: Willy Pike (52.5kg)
Is a Gr 1 winner over a mile and has a powerful finishing burst. Has raced twice this time up and last start beaten just under 3 lengths by Sunshine In Paris and Ruthless Dame over 1400m. Better suited this trip and can win.
11. Excelida (18) 33x5163x73

13. YEARNING (8) x356x370x5
T: Team Hawkes / J; Zac Lloyd (52kg)
Has a potent finishing kick and if the track plays to back markers she looks the one to beat. Comes in massively impressively at the weights. Trip suits too. Have in your numbers.
14. ESPIONA (6) 381x640x61
T: Chris Waller / J: Michael Dee (51kg)
Enigmatic galloper who is trained here and at the weights she is very well served. On her day she can win this easily. Did best to win Gr 3 race in Melbourne over 1400m last start and drops a long way in weight. Big show.
15. Times Square (13) 32x7307x1x

16. MORE PROPHETS (15) 98x8649x44
T: John Thompson / J:Brock Ryan (51kg)
Good handicap mare but hasn’t won for a long time and won’t be winning this.
17. TOREGENE (4) 191x112x2
T: Matt Williams /J: Dean Yendall (51kg)
Good galloper from Melbourne and form is consistent – but in slightly weaker company. Drawn well and will be prominent but final 100m will test.
18. PRIDE OF JENNI (2) 50x71537x4
T: Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace /J: Robbie Dolan (51kg)
Will ensure pace in this from this draw as she likes to be in front. Hardest part for her will be late when they swoop. Carried less weight than Espiona last start yet was well beaten by her. Not keen.
