Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews the Gosford meeting this afternoon, with horse racing tips and analysis for 3 selected races. Good luck, punters!

This will be a spectacle. We have three unraced runners who are all impressive recent trial winners. Lots of money for the well bred Godolphin horse MR WALLACE who looks very professional. But I’m going to wager upon FLUCTUATE to run him down. He was good in his trial until asked to extend and when he did I think he extended like a smart horse. Back in 3rd was a horse who ran a cracking 2nd when produced at the races last start so the trial was solid and had depth. As does this race. Quinella them up.

Tip: FLUCUATE @ $3.90

I like horses on the improve and there appears one here in ETHERIDGE. She has had a fair few starts and a good many convictions but when she knuckles down to the task, she is actually a Saturday grade mare. Last start, in town, she sat back in a stronger race than this at the Farm, and rocketed home late to grab 3rd. Against her is this is 200m shorter but she should be able to sit a pair closer because the grade is weaker. Fit enough to swamp these. Watch betting.

Tip: ETHERIDGE @ $8.00

This former English galloper CAMPEAO might find it a bit warm out there today but he is fit enough and I think ready to nearly lead all the way and win this. Chris Waller trains him, Mitch Bell rides and from gate 4 he should jump, roll forward and prove too tough down the running. Only start in Oz, he led for home at Newcastle this grade and was collared late in that longer straight. Fitter now and shorter home straight here.

Tip: CAMPEAO @ $2.80
