Nowra R1 Mdn (Open) Hcp 1400m Â
On form shown to date it is almost impossible to go past the 3YO filly NARRATED in this. She’s had 3 starts and not won yet, but her last start, earlier this year was a great 2nd, in town on a Heavy 8 track. That told us two important things about her. Firstly that she can handle the mud when many can’t. Secondly, that she has talent enough to win a strong maiden. And it’s fair to say this is not a strong maiden. She has trialled impressively over the past few weeks. Looks a stand out to me.

Nowra R2 – BM58 Hcp 1400mÂ
I’m looking for a rather healthy early return at Nowra today. The running double with Narrated in race 1 into WILFUL SOUL will pay around $29. I’m going to have it 20 times. This Wilful Soul is pretty damn good mare at this level. When she won her maiden it was a heavy 10 and she won it by a nose from a bush horse who has proven to be a jet ski in the wet. Subsequent to that, Wilful Soul has won 2 further races on a heavy as she rose through the grades. Is 3rd up here and the 3kg allowance is a massive help. The fav DEEL WITH ME can run the quinella.

Muswellbrook R2 – Mdn Hcp 1450m Â
Interesting race. There has been a lot of money for MOREMI who is currently an odds on fav. And, I have no doubt he has staying talent and will develop. But with this weight, over this trip, first-up is a big ask especially when he opposes THE DANCE who has 4.5kg less to carry and is on a rapid rise curve. Did rush home to grab 2nd in a very similar race over 1400m in the mud. Should run on again.
