Doomben R9- $1.5million G1 Doomben 10,000 (WFA) 1200m
1. EDUARDO (11) 12x1406x20
T; Joe Pride / J: Nash Rawiller (58.5kg)
SCRATCHED
2. MAZU (7) 1x5232x536
T: Team Snowden / J: Tim Clark (58.5kg)
Disappointing last start in wet ground over 1400m in the All Aged Stakes but was a great 3rd in the Gr 1 TJ Smith before that. Did look a big show over the rise. Is better than that and sure to be in this.
3. A CASE OF YOU (9) 2130x00x56
T: Mick Price & Michael Kent / J; Ben Thompson (58.5kg)
Quality sprinter from Europe whose two Aussie starts have been handy without threatening. Fitter now and this is his pet trip. Does go well if track is wet.
4. OVERPASS (10) 57x26690x1
T: Bjorn Baker / J: Josh Parr (58.5kg)
Resumed from a spell in the inaugural Quokka last start in WA and was just too fast for them. This is probably a length faster but he must have improved so rates highly.
5. VILANA (1) 518x1810x1
T: James Cummings / J: Brad Rawiller (58.5kg)
Thi is a pretty handy racehorse. He tends to sit off the pace, which is what he did last start when resuming yet finished hard to win Gr 3 Hall Mark. This is harder but he won with authority. Never far away.
6. PRINCE OF BOOM (5) 110x840x13
T: Rob Heathcote / J: James Orman (58.5kg)
This is a pretty fast local sprinter and he will be in it for some time. Led and just grabbed late by Rothfire. Is very fit and not the roughest.
7. WEONA SMARTONE (6) 15x1334x03
T: David Vandyke / J: Kyle Wilson-Taylor (58.5kg)
Is all class and is back in form. Led and grabbed on the line to narrowly lose to Alpine Edge in The Archer last start. Will get taken on for the front here and that may shorten him up late.
8. GIGA KICK (4) x11115x321
T: Clayton Douglas /J: Craig Williams (57kg)
Is about the best sprinter in the land and certainly the best in this race. Should win.
9. AFT CABIN (3) 2121×1541
T: James Cummings /J: James mcDonald (57kg)
Rising star who will make his presence felt. Sits off pace when humming and last start won well. This is hardest test to date but he is very good.
10. MARIAMIA (8) 1443×11415
T: Joe Pride / J: Tyler Schiller (56.5kg)
Top class mare who is right up to this. Likes to sit just off pace which suits here as there is a lot of early speed. Is very fast late and is extremely honest. Big show.
11. CENTREFIRE (2) 712x8791x3
T: Chris Munce / J: Samantha Collett (56.6kg)
Is handy but not up to these at WFA.
