Horse Racing Tips – Best Bets Warrnambool Wednesday

Form analyst, RIC CHAPMAN, previews Wednesday’s Wangoom & Galleywood  Day at the ‘Bool meeting, with horse racing tips and analysis for the five best bets of the day. Good luck, punters!

This race may well set up well for the filly HELLARA. She’s raced three times to day with her latest, when resuming, a fine 2nd in this grade. That race experience and now a bit fitter following her last start makes her hard to beat. Should race forward and from this gate can sit easily on the outside of the pace. DEBATING looks to have some talent too  for 2nd. Quinella bet.

Tip: HELLARA

Fascinating affair. I am on the well bred QUEENBEEL here. She’s in the right stable being with Trent Busuttin and Nat Young who know how to train a stayer. Today will be her 3rd start and based on how well she has hit the line in her only two runs at this level when 3rd and 4th, I suggest she wins this today. That experience and the fitness levels are big helps.

Tip:  QUEENBEEL

I do think despite a few stable changes over the past 12 months that this plodder ROLAND GARROS will land the chocolates here. His flat form is only average but he can jump and he can stay. Now with Ciaron Maher and Dave Eustace. That adds a few lengths to his ability. Toppie, HISTORIC has a big burden but can also jump well. Quinella them.

Tip: ROLAND GARROS

I think the top weight here SAUNTER BOY is still the best horse in the field and being 4th up he is super fit. I think despite the big weight of 71kg he will run away from these. So best to look at value in the trifecta. Ok, I suspect INSTIGATOR chases him home and HEIR TO THE THRONE plods on into 3rd spot. That’s what I’m having.

Tip:  SAUNTER BOY

For me it is hard to go past the Tasmanian FIRST ACCUSED. He is a top flight galloper, probably a genuine Gr 2 type who has just been put on earth at the same time in the same place as a superstar. He has raced The Inevitable at his past 5 starts and been close but no cigar in all of those runs. Where The Inevitable won them all, then was 3rd in the $5million All-Star Mile, this bloke placed in all those races narrowly behind him. He also has a great first up record and resumes here. Have a go at him.

Tip: FIRST ACCUSED
