Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Saturday’s meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for the five best bets of the weekend. Good luck, punters!
DETONATOR JACK looks to bounce back here after going down narrowly to So Si Bon last time out. Drops 3kgs in weight and out an extra 100m which will suit this boy.
Let’s just hope there is some pace in the race this time around, so we can watch him come with that barnstorming run down the straight. Very keen on him and looks to be the best of the day here at Sandown.

SOULCOMBE put away a nice field with his first run in Australia winning impressively in the Queen Elizabeth back on Melbourne Cup day.
JMac jumps on board now for his first up tilt this Autumn and although will obviously benefit from the run, he is all class and should be able to handle this opposition and move on to bigger things throughout the carnival.

AFT CABIN looked to have all before him after his Guineas Prelude win at Caulfield but suffered a bleeding attack after trackwork prior to that Caulfield Guineas. Returned with an impressive trial win at Warwick Farm on 16/1 and looks to be the class horse of the field.
Goldophin have much bigger assignments on their radar for him but this should be a nice starting point to kick off a big Autumn.

KING KAPA is unbeaten since moving north and looks to have a bright future. Won with plenty in hand last time out and looks ready to step up to Saturday grade.
Although facing some more seasoned gallopers here, I feel he has panels on the opposition here and only needs to stay out of trouble to keep that picketed fence going..

Let’s jump on board THE VELVET QUEEN again. She didn’t let us down a couple of weeks back when she got up over the concluding stages.
That’s how she races, only does what she has to do to win, she is always around the mark and sticks her head out when she sees that winning post. Can’t find any reason she won’t be winning again.
