Horse Racing Best Bets – Saturday 29th April

Form analyst, SCOTT MCDONELL, previews Saturday’s meetings, with horse racing tips and analysis for the five best bets of the weekend. Good luck, punters!

Liked the way that MIDNIGHT GLOW chased home when he was placed in the Galilee Series at Lakeside last start. He has been finishing off as thought the extra 400m will suit him in this and from ideal barrier Luke Nolen should give him the dream run and he can get away with this.

ARTS looks extremely hard to beat here in the Oaks. Found the 2400m a little too far last start in the A.J.C. Derby and now back to the more favorable 2000m,  in which she was very impressive winning the Adrian Knox at Randwick two starts back.
She should prove the one they will all have to get past to get the money.

Tip: ARTS

PRIVATE EYE has had a freshen up and a nice trial since finishing out the back in the T.J.Smith back in April after finding plenty of interference up the running and being eased out of the event.
Simply pay to forget that run and now back to the scene of his Stradbroke Handicap victory last season and he should be extremely hard to roll.

Tip: PRIVATE EYE

Going for a bit of value here in WAITAK. He is having his second run here on the mainland and went down only by 1.25 lengths to The Vowels in the Daybreak Lover a fortnight ago after seeing some nice support for him in the market.
Last season he ran 2nd to Prowess in the Guineas and 5th to Sharp’N’Smart in the Derby, so has plenty of ability which should make him very competitive here.

Tip: WAITAK

SUPER SMINK comes into this after a breathtaking victory over Live To Tell in the Karrakatta Plate last time out. Only needs similar and should be far too good for this field.
She showed a brilliant turn of hoof in that race when asked for the effort and the extra 200m shouldn’t bother her. A class above the opposition and bet of the day.

Tip: SUPER SMINK
