Rosehill Race 8 – Up and Coming Stakes 1300m
CONQUEROR got too far back first up from a spell last time at Randwick but was making up solid ground from the tail, when he ran into some green ones at the 200n.
He still worked to the line nicely and his run may have peaked being f\fresh, but off a recent soft trial to keep him ticking over, I would expect him to be extremely hard to toss.
Tip: CONQUEROR
Randwick R9 – San Domenico Stakes 1100m
BEST OF BORDEAUX proved he was one of the best 2yos last season and looks ready for a first up assignment. He wont be at his peak being first up but he has had two recent trials and James MacDonald who has ridden him in those events has taken the ride.
Should have enough natural speed to find the front and prove very hard to get past.
Tip: BEST OF BORDEAUX
Caulfield R5 – H.D.F.McNeil Stakes 1200m
One of the more impressive debut wins I have seen was when JACQUINOT screamed home out wide winner at Caulfield back in December 2021. He had a break before the autumn before running an enormous second in the Group 1 Blue Diamond after covering plenty of extra ground.
The stable took him to Sydney for the Golden Slipper but on what was a very heavy track he failed to find best form and only battled last 200m. Likely to be much better ground for him first-up and he can sprint over them final stages.
Tip: JACQUINOT
Caulfield R7 – W.W.Cockram Stakes 1200m
Going to suggest to have something each way on ARGENTIA in this. She is a quality mare who has won two of three first-up tries. She resumes over this track/distance in the Group 3 Kevin Hayes here back in the autumn and just finished too well for an impressive win.
Expect that she will be better when she gets over further this spring and she can target better races than she finds here. Would have something the win and double the place in this field.

Caulfield R8 – Memsie Stakes 1400m
The Price/Kent stable must have a big opinion of the unbeaten ILLATION to start him off in Group 1 company this spring. The striking son of So You Think (NZ) has did everything right winning his three starts at first prep with an exciting turn-of-hoof.
Jamie Kah will more than likely take him back from his awkward barrier but if she can get some cover on him he should have something left in the tank from the corner and can finish over the top of these.
Tip: ILLATION
Eagle Farm R5 – Three-Year-Old Plate 1200m
SPIRITUALISED jumped straight to the front and won as he liked last time out at Doomben. This guy is very smart and could have better thing in store over the spring down south.
Is a short priced favorite to win again, meeting very similar opposition as three weeks ago. Looks the one to beat if he can dictate from the front and kick clear on straightening for home.
