- Caulfield
- (2000)
- October 14, 2023
1. Alligator Blood (3)
Seems to be getting better and better with racing. If he doesn’t lead these, he’ll sit behind his stablemate Just Fine and just be too classy late. Is in sublime form and is very fit.

Proven Winner
2. Vow And Declare (8)
Grand old timer, former Melbourne Cup winner. Actually might go alright in this. Probably sits off the speed this time and come charging late. Is 2nd up, should be big odds and can run a place.

Ready to Fire
3. Nonconformist (5)
Will run a bit of a race here. Got a long way back against Alligator Blood last start when 2nd up in the Gr 1 Underwood but made ground late and caught the eye. Better suited here and was a Caulfield Cup place getter two years back.

Track Talent
4. Alenquer (7)
Ridden to lead in the Underwood and weakened. Not keen.

Good on Soft
5. Hezashocka (9)
Seems to have lost form. Back in April was 4th in the Gr 1 QE but form has fallen away since. Beaten nearly 20 lengths last start in easier race.
-
Good on Soft
6. Just Fine (4)
Here’s his biggest test. Carried 55kg when brilliant winner of the 2000m Gr 3 Kingston Town in super fast time, then out slogged them to claim the Gr 1 Metrop last start over 2400m in record time. Appears better suited to this trip but up to WFA is a big step.

Proven Winner
7. Forgot You (6)
Likes it wet and is a Gr 1 place getter. But this is harder by about 8 lengths than his last start when he was 2nd. Not keen.
-
Good on Soft
8. Lindermann (1)
Front runner who on his day is super hard to run down. Will have a couple going hard here so he either races them early or takes a sit. If he takes a sit he may play a late roll in this.
9. Duais (10)
Multiple Gr 1 winner who flashed home for 3rd in the Gr 1 Underwood behind Alligator Blood. on her day she is brilliant and is super fit for this. Respect her.

Ready to Fire
10. Deny Knowledge (2)
Another who likes to lead and she is in great form. If it’s wet she will be hard to beat at big odds. Beaten nearly 4 lengths by the brilliant Amelia’s Jewel last start when 3rd. Have in your numbers.
