1. Raf Attack (11)
Is very smart and very fast so this outside draw is no worries. Will steam across find the front and because of his fitness he will lead and kick as they turn. He did just that last start in the Gr 2 Gloaming over 1800m and held out Tom Kitten. Don’t worry about the extra 200m. He’ll handle it.

2. Tom Kitten (1)
Is probably the best horse in the field and shows it every start by the way he runs. But, he just gets too far back and it makes his task so, so hard. Still, he tries his heart out and rattles home as was the case last start when he was pulling enormous ground late off eventual winner Raf Attack in Gr 2 Gloaming. Gets an extra 200m here, was a good thing beaten last run, and will be right in this finish.

3. Ganbare (4)
Is smart and looked the goods coming off the pace to win the Listed Dulcify over a mile in good time but then just seemed to find the 1800m of the Gloaming a tad too far when a disappointing 8th. If that theory is right he will struggle late this trip.

4. Kintyre (3)
After an inglorious run behind Ganbare and Pushy over 1600m, was ridden differently in the Gr 2 Gloaming. Sat up on speed at $41 and just kept going running 4th in the end beaten just half a length. Extra trip may test but is gutsy.

5. Glad You Think So (2)
After being on speed and winning his maiden then a Class 1 both at Newcastle he was stepped up to Gr 2 level in the Gloaming and at $51 he performed very well, beaten less than a length by Raf Attack. Is bred and trained to run all day and might cause a big upset.

6. Port Lockroy (8)
Is getting better with every run but is he a Gr 1 horse? Made ground late when a solid 5th to Ganbare in the Dulcify over a mile then came out and looked very good easily winning a 3YO hcp over 1800m. Must be considered as he can get the trip and seems to actually relish it.

Proven Winner
7. Ravello (12)
Is promising but at this level at this stage of his life he isn’t quite good enough. Is trained here. Probably runs about 7th.

8. Cap Ferrat (9)
Is an interesting galloper. Has talent, lots of it and last start showed he was getting close to realising it when he flashed home with Tom Kitten to grab 3rd in the Gr 2 Gloaming. He ran his last 150m as if this trip will suit a great deal. Still a maiden after 5 starts but that will change soon.

9. Long Genes (10)
Should develop into a pretty good racehorse. Won H’bury maiden in good style then comfortably beaten at $201 in both the Dulcify and Gloaming. Can run on but this will test.

Good on Soft
10. Medatsu (7)
Interesting galloper. Is over from NZ where he had stakes form in the mud. Won a slowly run 2000m Class 1 last start comfortably. Might be pretty handy.

11. Ramble On (6)
More than handy and did run home hard to win Kembla 1600m maiden last start. This is much harder but is improving.

12. Tutta La Vita (5)
Is the only filly in the field but don’t let that concern you. She is as tough as old boots and is a Gr 1 placegetter. Last start was hard at work from the 800m home in a very fast run Gr 1 Flight Stakes yet was still coming. Gives the impression this will suit more as the tempo will be steadier and she looks like she can stay all day.
