1. Jimmysstar (1)
Superstar who looks the hardest to beat. Was 3rd in The Everest in super fast time. Is a Gr 1 winner this trip. Has won 5 races at this track. Is nearly invincible, winning 5 times, while fresh and he resumes here having won 2 jump outs. Has the rails here. So, he probably pings, sits back in 4th and then unleashes. Very hard to beat.

2. Jigsaw (11)
Flying machine, in super form winning past 5 on the bounce. Has won 4 times at this track, latest last start this trip in faster time than any of these have ever done so. If he leads with no pressure, which he should, he’ll kick off the bend and he can sustain pace to the line. Looks pretty hard to catch.

3. Rey Magnerio (7)
Resumes here after winning in very fast time the $1.5m Gold Rush in WA over 1400m. Has great first up stats and bound to be running on. Loves this track too.

4. Angel Capital (6)
Will take beating. Was a close and unlucky 3rd in the Gr 1 Newmarket this trip last start when 2nd up. They ran very fast time that day. Hasn’t won for some time but is 3rd up, looks to be peaking and can sit back about 6th with cover. Expect him to charge home.

5. Baraqiel (5)
Just keeps getting better and better every race. Is 2nd up here and is unbeaten when 2nd up. Ran a cracking race when 4th to Tentyris in the Gr 1 Lightning over 1000m when resuming last start. Is a Gr 1 winner this trip and drawn to get a cozy run just behind the speed. Has claims.

6. Airman (9)
7. Tropicus (2)
Very strong Gr 1 winner here last start in the Oakleigh Plate with big weight. Has improved every prep and looks now to be a bonafide Gr 1 star. Can race just behind the speed and sprint late. What I like most about him is the fact he adores this track – 4 wins from 6 starts and a 2nd placing. Respect him.

8. Magic Time (10)
Terrific mare winner of $4.5million in stakes. Resumes here. Has won at Gr 1 level, and loves this track. Races best when fresh and this is her pet trip. Drawing deep is a worry though. Place.

9. Charm Stone (3)
Interesting mare who will be big odds. Interesting in the sense that she is resuming here and twice before, when at big odds, she has resumed from a spell and won Gr 1 races this trip, latest when easily beating rivals here Baraqiel and Magic Time. Has won at this track, loves this trip and is worth having in your numbers.

10. Benedetta (4)
Good, solid, Gr 1 winning mare, 3rd up here, who hasn’t been far away in both starts this time up at this level. Saying that, she does seem to a length off her best and that should prove the difference again here.

Place Performer
11. Devil Night (8)
Winner of just one race, and it was a Gr 1 over this trip. Resumed from a spell last start under 59.5kg in a Gr 3 and ran on pace for 2nd in handy time this trip here. Fitter now, but the class is much better in this race.
