Gr 1 Stradbroke Handicap Preview

Is by far the best horse in this field and if it rains get on her. Is in sparkling, Gr 1 form and looms as the one to beat despite the horror draw and top weight. Is tough, very fit and will be right in this finish.

Drawn well enough and is always a threat at this level and this trip. On her day she can win this. After a Gr 1 win in Sydney this trip was well supported but a little flat late when 8th to I Wish I Win last start. is capable of improving.

Comes into this 3rd up and ready to fire. Is also in well at the weights. Made good ground late when under 59kg was beaten 4 lengths by I Wish I Win in the Gr 1 K-Smith Cup last start. That was 1300m and this suits a great deal more. Big threat.

Top class, Gr 1 winning mare who always puts in and runs her heart out. Won 2 of 3 races in Adelaide, including the gr 1 Goodwood over 1200m when coming home hard from well back. Never won this trip but runs like she will enjoy it. Big danger.

Strange horse. Hates it wet. And if he flies out from this gate and charges across he might, at $101, take a bit of catching. Did win a trial impressively last week. Recent form is horrible though.

Is up in class on last start easy win last week over 1200m in the gr 2 beating Mazu. If he brings that form to this race, he wins. Just rocketed home when cut loose. Has won over 1400m and is weighted to land the cash here. Finding a spot with cover is probably his biggest hurdle. Improves if the track is damp.

Brings differing form lines here but also brings a great consistency. Stormed home to win easier BRC Sprint at Doomben in handy time on a soft track last start. Does handle the wet and is drawn to get a great run. Place show.

Not won for a little while and has never won this trip. Probably settles midfield and can run on as he has Gr 1 form. But last start was thrashed in the much easier Scone Cup.

Tasmanian with a great deal of talent on his day. Comes in well at the weights. Last start carried 59kg when resuming and after settling at the tail of the big field he made ground to be beaten under 2 lengths by Here To Shock in the 1300m BRC Sprint. Meets him much better at the weights. This is harder but has talent on his day.

Good horse this grade and trip but strangely has only won 2 races from his 15 starts. Was 2nd at $51 in the Gr 1 All Aged this trip behind Magic Time and meets her considerably better at the weights. But, was 2nd at Scone under 60kg in weaker race last start. Probably goes hard from this gate to find a spot and has claims if he gets in or cover.

local star with a lot of speed and talent. Biggest query is can he get the trip against this mob? Up on pace when game 3rd to Here To Shock in the BRC Sprint over 1350m last start. Comes in well at the weights but that last 50m may prove tough.

Is 2nd up here and has a good 2nd up record. Is a Gr 1 horse and when resuming last start dropped out near the rear and went home OK when 9th in the gr 1 behind I Wish I Win. Comes in very well at the weights and should run a cheeky race.

A Gr winner in England who was a $31  chance when he absolutely flew home to win the Listed BNE Quality of 1600m on a soft track. Has never won at this trip but has been freshened for this and is really, really well suited by the handicap conditions. Might shock everyone.

Under rated star mare with a lot of talent and is extremely consistent. Is kinda first up here and is very smart fresh. Is a Group winner and is gr 1 placed. Comes in well at the weights after last start 3rd in Gr 1 Queen Of the Turf over a mile with 57kg. Badly drawn but if she slots in she is a player.

Recent form is average for a race like this. But, has won here over this trip under 57kg in fast time. Drawn well and is a very rough place show.

Struggling a bit these days but worth one more chance because 6 months ago he was a top-notch Gr 1 type 3YO. Is 3rd up here. Lasts start was flashing home from 18th on bend to be beaten 3 lengths in Gr 3 Fred Best behind Roll On High. This is harder but is really fit now. Place.

Talented, consistent filly who is now very fit. Beaten 1.5 lengths by Bella Nipotina in Gr 1 Doomben 10,000 and meets her 4.5kg better here. last start not far away when good 3rd to RollOn high. Super fit now. Big show.

Good filly who shocked with her powerful late burst at $16 to win Gr 3 Fred Best here this trip last start. Beat Stefi Magnetica home that day and came from near last on the bend. This is harder but she can run on with this tiny weight.

Is a major player if he gains a run. Drops a whopping 7.5kg from his impressive 4th in the gr 1 K-Smith over 1300m behind I Wish I Win and Bella Nipotina. Meets the mare 8.5kg better for being beaten 2 lengths by her. big show.

Qld star with cult following and he looked awesome winning here over 1500m last week. Horror draw and is a reserve but if he gets a start, he drops 8kg here and is in form. incidentally, meets Freedom rally 4kg better for beating him 3 starts back. Have in your numbers.

Very handy on his day this trip but the grade will test him.

Honest mare with talent at her level but her level is a couple of lengths behind the better ones here.

More than handy 3YO but his form is in and out and this looks a bit rich. Thrashed last start in weaker race.
