- Rosehill - Race 6
- (2000M)
- March 23, 2024
2. Riff Rocket (8)
Star who may well be a superstar 3YO. Back to his home track and is 3rd up after two amazing runs. Looks bullet-proof and should win this comfortably.

Proven Winner
3. Cafe Millenium (6)
Shocked everyone last start at $71 when he thundered home from near last to just miss in the Gr 1 Randwick Guineas over 1600m last start. That race was run in very fast time and he must be fitter now. Big show if he has come on.

Ready to Fire
4. Tom Kitten (2)
Star colt who has won at Gr 1 level and it was at this trip. looks primed and ready to produce a similar result here. Has had three testing runs to improve his fitness this prep and last start bobbed and weave and couldn’t sprint home as he liked when beaten less than a length into 4th in the Gr 1 R’wick Guineas. Hit the line despite all that with fast late-race sectionals. Looks a huge threat.

5. King Colorado (3)
Is he a star or simply good and not quite as good as we all thought? We will know here as he looks placed nicely. Terrific run when resuming when 2nd to Riff Rocket in the Gr 3 Hayes carrying 59.5kg but looked plain 2nd up when 10th in the Gr 1 Aust Guineas behind Southport Tycoon. Place hope.

6. Ganbare (4)
Connections believe he is screwed right up and back to the form where he won the Dulcify over a m ile beating Tom Kitten and then was 3rd in the Gr 1 Champion Stakes behind Tom Kitten. Has had two starts this prep, latest when beaten 1.7 lengths in that hot Gr 1 R’wick Guineas. Will be on speed for a long way.

Ready to Fire
7. Immediacy (12)
Unbeaten in three starts, Gr 2 winner up from Victoria. How good is he? Well, he seems to be improving every run and last start streeted his rivals over 1800m in the Gr 2 Autumn Classic at Caulfield. This is harder, yes, but he just chimed in at the 200m and raced away. Have in your numbers.

8. Cap Ferrat (9)
Good horse this. Oddly enough is still a maiden after 11 starts but has placed at Gr 1 and Gr 2 levels and is 3rd up here, on his home track. Last start finished a solid 7th in the Gr 1 Aust Guineas in Melb and excels this trip. Keep him safe.

9. Ceolwulf (11)
Lots of people talking this bloke up. He has run a very fast 1400m which is to his credit and his two runs this time up have been solid, latest when right there at the end and 6th, beaten 1.3 lengths in that fast run Gr 1 Randwick Guineas where he finished right next to Tom Kitten. Not tried at this trip yet but has talent.

Ready to Fire
10. Ducasse (1)
Rail draw looks to help him here and he may run a cheeky race at huge odds. Easily won a maiden before stepping up to stakes graded and last start was with that clump who hit the line a length or so back of Celestial legend in the Gr 1 Guineas over a mile. Did have his chance but also did keep coming.

11. Cosmic Lad (10)
Lightly race and has talent but this just looks a little too soon for him.

12. Steel Blaze (5)
Can stay and after a BM 64 win at Canterbury over 1900m, he stepped up against older horses and was well beaten over 2000m. Not keen here.
