Gr 1 – Ranvet Stakes

European Gr 1 galloper who ran last on Aussie debut last start when resuming behind Via Siustina in the Gr 1 Verry Elleegant over a mile. was travelling until the quickened and was well beaten. He ran 1.35 which was a pretty fair run but would need to improve a fair bit here. Probably will improve but will it be enough?

Ran an outstanding race when resuming in the fast run Gr 1 Verry Elleegant when 4th to Via Sistina. Is much better at this trip and has won 2nd up before. This is tough but he just keeps getting better with racing. Respect him.

Looks the leader in the race and is super fit. He can set solid fractionals but his best go, because he is the only leader, is to go to the front and stack them up. He can sprint hard the last 400m and if he stacks them up he will take catching.

These British stayers that come here, especially from the William Haggas yard, are always hard to beat. This bloke is a genuine Gr 2 horse but he’s up against our main mare and probably dashes home hard late to grab a placing.

Has had 2 starts this time up and last start in this grade he led and was run down late finishing just 2 lengths behind Via Sistina in fast time. May sit just behind Lindermann and is a very strong stayer. Place show.

Is the Aussie-based champ these days and is at her home track here. Back to her best last start winning in a fast run mile at Gr 1 level. Looks to have this at her mercy.

very smart North American mare who won a prestigious Gr 1 in Canada just before spelling. Is first up here so market is best guide, but on past form she has a definite place hope.
