1. Giga Kick (10)
Top class on his day, in fact is better than these when right. Not given the greatest of rides when resuming in Adelaide recently but did hit the line hard when 3rd to Reserve Bank in Gr 1 Goodwood. Was doing best work at the end over 1200m. Handles soft and fast tracks. Fitter now. Looms very large.

Ready to Fire
2. Private Eye (7)
May have lost a length or so for these short races but he is still a star. And resumes here, which suits as he goes well fresh. Can perform on fast or slow tracks and has drawn to sit behind speed. If he finds his best form he can win this.

4. Golden Mile (14)
Might be the dark horse here. Sat back near the rear over 1200m last start in the Victory but absolutely stormed home to run 3r5d. Would have won in 3 more strides. Recent trial was good too. Looks to drop back again and respect his late power as he likes this track.

Ready to Fire
5. Zarastro (9)
Classy local who has won 5 times at this track. Scored at the Gold Coast in January and last start ran nice even race when 4th to King Kappa here. This is harder but he is honest.

6. Payline (12)
Ran the race of his life coming from last along the slower inside part of the track for 3rd in the Gr 1 Doomben 10,000 behind Sunshine In Paris. Had previously run on from the back when beaten 3.5 lengths in the Victory over 1200m. Never won this trip but races like it should suit. Place.

Good on Soft
7. Libertad (8)
Started $81 when he rallied late on a good track to win the Gr 2 Victory over 1200m, then got lost when deep and 7th in the mud behind Sunshine In Paris in the Gr 1 Doomben 10,000. Wasn’t beaten far and this looks more suitable.

8. Rise At Dawn (1)
Last start was in April when a game 4th, beaten half a length after leading in the tough Gr 1 Doncaster over a mile. Hasn’t won under 1400m but has won 2 recent trials very impressively. This is hard but he is a winner.

Proven Winner
9. Democracy Manifest (2)
Isn’t quite up to Gr 1 level but he does like the sting out of the ground and probably gets that here. Will get back and hope to weave between runners which may be hard.

Good on Soft
10. Joliestar (13)
Enigmatic star. On her day, like in the Gr 1 Newmarket recently, she can win anything. But can also run ordinary races. Watch market but have in your numbers.

11. Kimochi (3)
The last time she won a race was in November last year. It was over 1400m in the Gr 1 Rupert Clarke at Caulfield. Has since placed at Gr 2 over 1000m. Ran a shocker last start but forget that effort in the mud. The Gr 1 win in Nov was under Craig Williams. He hasn’t ridden her since but climbs back on board for this. Have in your numbers.

Ready to Fire
12. Benedetta (6)
Top class Gr 1 winning mare who never runs a bad race. Handles all tracks, has won at this trip and can be relied upon to run a big race.

13. Bosustow (4)
Smart 3YO up in grade here but he is in sparkling form as he showed last start with runaway win at the Gold Coast. Has run exceptional time for 1400m so appears up to this. And, was a dual accepter.
