- Eagle Farm - Race 6
- (1600M)
- June 15, 2024
1. Broadsiding (2)
Is the best colt in the land at present and just keeps getting better. Is already a juvenile Gr 1 winner and this trip looks ideal. Responsible for a Winx-like win last start in the gr 2 Sires’ over 1400m. I can’t see him getting rolled.

Proven Winner
2. Zouna (5)
How will he get 1600? Well, if his enormous run from a horror draw in the 1400m Gr 2 Sires' last start is any indication then he will get it very well. Had to be dragged back to near last early from gate 18 yet stormed home to finish 2nd to Broadsiding. Looks his obvious danger.

Ready to Fire
3. Bittercreek (10)
Broke his maiden in emphatic style winning the Gr 2 Champagne over 1200m at Doomben 2 starts back. Not disgraced when battling away gamely and 4th to broadsiding last start in the 1400m Sires’. Trip may be a bit of a hurdle but is honest.

4. Beau Dazzler (14)
Can run on but isn’t quite up to this grade. Was last in the 1400m Sires’.

5. Can't Recall One (11)
was unbeaten going into the Sires’ last start and just got too far back early. was last of 18 at one stage. Did run on into 10th. Is better than that and is a rough place hope.

6. Imperialist (12)
Is the dark horse. is bred to stay and showed an absolute liking for it last week when he raced home to win the 1500m Phoenix at stakes level. Is improving every run and the quick backup is no issue. Should be running on.

7. Smashing Time (4)
Will be at good odds and should be in your numbers as he is pretty smart and looks suited to this trip. Finally draws a good gate here and Tommy should be able to have in one off the fence in about 6th. If he’s within striking distance on the bend he can run home very hard.
-
Ready to Fire
8. Bosustow (1)
has talent and although this is a lot stronger than his very impressive maiden win last start, he looks a chance because he is fit, can run on speed and is bred to run this right out. Perfectly drawn too. Has place claims.

Ready to Fire
9. Barbaric Lad (8)
Smart and improving colt from Melbourne. In 2 runs in Qld hasn’t been far away, latest when 6th to Broadsiding and Zouna in the 1400m Sires’ where he had excuses. Could sneak a place.

10. Mr Artemisia (3)
Comes into this as a maiden from 3 runs but all of those runs, yes in weaker company, have been pretty good. Latest was when 3rd on Saturday at Rosehill over 1300m where he made up a lot of late ground coming from 10 lengths off the pace as they turned. Bred to stay and could rattle home here when a few of these are tiring.

11. China Sea (9)
Beautifully bred and stormed home to narrowly win on debut a maiden at Kembla. This is massively harder and after just one run is even tougher. But, is in a Group winning stable and may just be pretty handy.

Proven Winner
12. El Morzillo (7)
is smart and must be showing stable a lot because she runs in tip top races all the time. Latest was in the Gr 2 Sires’ when close up, beaten 3 lengths. Trip may be her biggest hurdle but is talented enough to be in the finish.

Good on Soft
13. Aemelius (6)
Is very smart but was ridden upside down last week when leading in the 1500m Phoenix from gate rise. Beaten just half a length by Imperialist. Quick back up but has staying talent so keep her in mind.

Maiden who wouldn’t win this with a headstart.
