Superstar who has pocketed $12million for his owners thus far from just 14 starts. Won The Everest in amazing time over 1200m and won the Gr 1 Stradbroke over 1400m in fast time. But, he’s never won at this trip and does seem to yield to the ladies – beaten by Bella Nipotina before spell and by Lady laguna when resuming last start in the Gr 1 Canterbury Stakes over 1300m. He sat wide last 600m of that race but was run down. Has a horror draw here, and the trip worries me. He’s outstanding but looks vulnerable to me 2nd up.

last prep carried 59kg and ran a super fast 1400m but he has always performed poorly when drawn deep and look where he steps from here. Not keen.

Finds his sweet spot in terms of pet distance here and is ready to run one heck of a race. was 2nd here to Obamburamai in the $10m Golden Eagle last prep and ran 2nd to the great Mr Brightside in the Gr 1 Fururity two runs back. Held up but stormed home when 5th to Lady laguna in the Gr 1 Canterbury Stakes over 1300m. Big show.

Made good ground from the back when 4th to Phearson in Gr 3 when resuming last start. That horse has failed since and the time was only average. At WFA he’s not suited and will have to get a long way back from this gate so this looks too rich.

Capable of winning this on his day but doesn’t look like he’s come up this prep. Weakened when 8th to Phearson last start in gr 3. If he leads it may spark him into action but hasn’t shown much pace this prep. Is 3rd up here.

was a gallant Gr 2 winner over a mile last prep beating Think It Over!. Two starts this time around have been solid, best when 4th to Fangirl in Gr 2 Apollo over 1400m in fast time. This is his home track and he’ll be big odds but can place.

looked like being a superstar last prep winning a bunch of races in a row culminating with victory in the $2m Five Diamonds over 1800m. Comes here with different form as he was on speed when fading 8th at Newcastle over 1400m last start when resuming. Gets the great draw here, will be on speed and may be in this finish.

alwasy a threat this trip, well saying that at WFA he struggles. This is his home track and he has good 2nd up stats but looks tested this time.

Tough customer to beat this trip when right and was 6th at Newcastle in good 1400m field when resuming. At WFA he should struggle though. Does like it wet.

Another one of those Group level English imports here now with Annabel Neasham and comes here as an English Gr 3 winner over a mile. If he runs up to his best he is likely to be in the finish but this is a strong welcome to Australia and may struggle late. has had two soft trials.

British import who raced there in group-level races. On debut in Australia got a long way back but absolutely flew home when impressive 2nd to Phearson in gr 3 over 1300m. His last 600m was very fast. Can he replicate it at Gr 1 level when 2nd up. And in a big field where he looks likely to go a long way back? Probably not. But there will be a lot of money for him.

From this grade draw looks to go forward and ensure a solid pace. Did that last start when resuming in the Gr 3 Shaftesbury at Flemington over 1400m when beaten a nose on the line. Up in class, trip and weight here on a track he’s never raced on. Not keen.

gutsy, tough Gr 3 type of horse who is 2nd up here after a good 5th at Newcastle in the Gr 3 Stakes. This looks too hard from this gate however. Does excel when it is wet.

Was just a stakes horse when racing in Ireland and will find WFA in Australia at legitimate Gr 1 level a bridge too far. Not keen although has been backed and does boast great wet track form.

When a mare is in form, get on and this mare is absolutely flying at present as she showed last start when ridden off speed and storming home past the star Think About It to win the Gr 1 Canterbury Stakes over 1300m. On that run she gets this trip comfortably and now it’s over to her jock to find cover early. Big player.

Some experts claim the 3YO bracket this year isn’t overly strong but I totally disagree. And this guy, here on his home track and a proven multiple Gr 1 winner, may well be about the best of his cohort. Beaten by a star in the last few bounds last start in the Gr 1 R’wick Guineas in fast time. Prior to that was 2nd in the Gr 2 Apollo in fast 1400m time behind fangirl. Drawn well, is very fit and looks a great hope.

Such a consistent, tough 3YO who has twice been runner-up at Gr 1 level over a mile, latest was last start at Flemington behind Southport Tycoon. is going to be just behind the speed and is capable of being right in this finish.

Has raced 10 times and has just one win on the board. It was in the 1400m Gr 3 Ming Dynasty in very fast time. But, he has been Gr 1 placed when beaten a nose by Militarize over 1400m. Last start, he was 5th behind the brilliant Celestial Legend in the Gr 1 R’wick Guineas where Militarize was 2nd. He was a length behind his rival that day – BUT – should have won the race. Held up at a crucial moment. May have to go quickly early and use this perfect draw to be in about 6th early. If he gets out he looks the one to beat.

Very good filly who has multiple Group wins to her credit. She is 3rd up here and last start only plodded home when 8th to tropical Squall over 1400m in Gr 1 Surround Stks. This looks too tough.
