Gr 1 Futurity Stakes Preview

Super horse who loomed to win but was nabbed near the line last start when resuming in 1400m Gr 1. Ran 2nd to Another Wil that day taking his earnings to $16.5million. Last prep, he resumed in a 1400m, ran 2nd then won his next start which was at gr1 level. History looks like repeating. Oh, and did win this race last year beating Pericles.

Bonafide superstar but last prep he raced 3 times and was not at his best. On his day he beats these easily. May need this run first-up but have in your numbers.

Interesting player here. Goes very well first up, has won $5.3million already and this is oddly enough, his pet trip. Very good on his day and has to be included. Ran 2nd in this race last year.

Brilliant on his day. Stablemate to Pericles and has won $3.6million thus far. Has won at this level, and has won at this trip and has won first up. Resumes here. Looked very good in recent trial.

Class galloper whop is getting better every prep. This is hard but he has won at Gr 1 level and has won at this trip. Will probably be on pace and could bob into a place at a big price.

Drifted in the market when resuming last start and didn’t run on at all finishing 9th of 10 to Another Wil. Is much better than that and has a very impressive 2nd up record. Expect improvement.

Smart Gr 2 type of horse but has trouble against the big boys. Showed that last start when well beaten 8th to Another Wil. And this looks stronger.

Very snart mare from WA who had her first Melbourne start last outing when 7th to the Gr 1 behind Another Wil. Was beaten 6 lengths but was working home. This is a length or so harder but she is 2nd up now and is good enough to run a big race.

We all know she has talent. was a topliner in France and has a Gr 1 placing here behind her, but has been largely disappointing past 3 starts. Resumes here and may get run off her legs but should be finishing on. Has been very good fresh in the past.

Resumed in the Gr 1 Orr this trip last start and was a solid 4th to Another Wil. Incidentally, last time he ran 4th over 1400m, at his very next start, in a Gr 1, he led all the way to win. Probably leads this lot and will take catching.

Handy 3YO who will be thereabouts throughout. Has been Gr 1 placed and last start made ground late when 3rd in Gr 2 here over 1400m. Rough place hope.
