Gr 1 – Epsom Preview

Horror draw but he is very smart and is ready. Came home like a train to just miss in the Gr 1 7 Stakes last start this trip behind Fangirl. Loves the mile and will be rattling home.Is 3rd up here and is ready.

Missed the kick yet rattled home to just miss in the 7 Stakes behind Fangirl last start here over this trip. Had previously run a very fast time to win Gr 2 over 1400m when resuming. Is very smart but draw is a worry. Fitter now and should run on.

Drops 3kg from last start solid 4th to Fangirl in the 7 Stakes. Is very honest nd always shows up at this level. Is 3rd up here and looms as player in this. Draw is a worry because he likes to be up near pace.

Been a while since he won a race but was beaten a lip in this race last year. Is 2nd up today after a terrific 3rd to Royal Patronage when resuming in fast time over 1400m. Drops 2.5kg and has a good 2nd up record. Loves this trip. If he gets out he can be a big player.

Won this race last year with 50kg after being brilliantly ridden. Was a great 4th behind Encap over 1300m when resuming and is strong 2nd up. Bound to be in the firing line for some time again.

Narrowly beaten in this race last year and was unlucky. Is 3rd up this time around and should, if he gets a good run in the straight, be right in this. But, his style of racing tends to lead him into trouble late. Has a love for this trip.

Looms as one of the hardest to beat following two terrific runs this time up. Comes here off a strong 2nd over 2000m in good time behind Eliyass. Should settle about 7th with cover and is honest late. Big show.

Was 4th in the Gr 1 Doncaster here in the mud earlier this year. Has the talent to be in the finish but hasn’t won a race for a long time and was 8th to Royal Patronage in fast time when resuming. Not keen.

Bad draw is a worry as was his plodding 5th in weaker race when 2nd up last start. Looks to be suited this trip and his first-up win was very impressive. Will get a long way back but can flash late.

Not racing well enough to trouble the better ones in this. Is 3rd up though.

Three runs back from a spell have all been unplaced. Wouldn’t win this with a headstart.

Looks the one to beat here. Most likely leads as he did at WFA last start under 59kg. Shot away as they turned and was claimed late by Fangirl, beaten just on a length. Is fitter now. Is trained here and drops 7.5kg. Imagine if he kicks with that weight advantage this time. Big, big threat.

Loved it in the mud when resuming in Melbourne flashing late in weaker race to win. Hasn’t good 2nd up stats but can be considered if the track is damp.

Good Kiwi mare who has drawn well. Has Gr 1 form back across the ditch but was thrashed in Australia last start and this should test.

Honest mare who has drawn well. Sure to be handy for a while with this light weight but her problem is late against this grade. May struggle.

Awkward draw here but won like a really smart type in weaker grade when resuming, flashing home late. Drops a long way in weight but up in class here and is 2nd up. Did win 2nd up last prep so watch betting.

Handy mare but just isn’t up to the better ones here.

Will have admirers following two really solid runs since resuming. Up on pace both times and kept fighting including 5th in very fast time behind Royal Patronage in the Gr 2 Tramway when first-up. Meets him 8kg better for being beaten 2 lengths. Has strong claims.

A smart mare in form and looms large. Has won 2 on the bounce including a BM 88 win last start under 58kg when accelerating like a really good horse late over 1900m. Is rock hard fit, can handle wet or fast tracks and just looks back in Group form this time up. Big rise in grade here but can fly late with no weight on her back.

Drawn to get a great run and if he can sprint late like he has done so in BM 88 grade of late he rates highly. Is fit and narrowly beaten this track and trip by Major Beel 2 starts back. Drops 8.5kg. Place show.

Big striding grey galloper who is honest. Drops 9kg here for a strong finishing win over Galeron last start here over this trip in good time. Bad draw but is in form. Place show.
